Connect birthday and anniversary events to contacts
Like they do in iCloud calendar. Trying to leave their universe.

This request is really about better integration between contacts and calendar, so birthdays and anniversaries don’t need to be entered manually. It’s basically asking for a smoother, more connected ecosystem like iCloud, where personal data in contacts automatically becomes useful events in the calendar. The main intent is convenience, automation, & reducing manual work while keeping personal reminders organized.
From a gaming perspective, this kind of smooth system integration feels similar to how players want seamless experiences without breaking flow. In games like https://boxel-rebound.com/ , everything is designed around fast movement, instant retries, and uninterrupted gameplay loops where you don’t lose progress or waste time on extra steps. That same idea applies here—users want a system where important life data just “flows” automatically without extra effort.
In modern utility apps and gaming-style systems alike, users value efficiency and smart automation. Whether it’s managing levels in a game or managing personal events, the expectation is the same: less manual input, more automatic syncing, and a cleaner experience overall. This request highlights how users are moving toward fully connected digital ecosystems instead of separate, disconnected tools.
Even tools like the Elvebredd App support this idea of simplification by making complex Roblox trading decisions easier and faster. You can check it here: https://tinyurl.com/58vj2cys where the intent is also about reducing manual checking and giving users instant clarity. Overall, the demand here is clearly for smarter, automated systems that save time and improve user experience across both productivity and gaming environments.

If you add a feature like this, please make it togglable. I imported my contacts from google so for many people who had a gmail account their birthday is there whether I care enough to know their birthday or not. I hated that google added all these birthdays of random classmates, coworkers, third cousins and guys I went on two dates with to my "birthdays" calendar (Yes, I keep them as a contact so I know to ignore their future texts. Such is the world we live in.). All these weirdos who set their profile information to auto share. I had to hide the default google birthdays calendar for this reason.
For newly added contacts, proton isn't pulling all their info from google so I can just choose whether they are important enough for a birthday entry but for my ~2,000 imported contacts many have gmail accounts thus google contacts auto included their birthday. Please, no. I suspect imported iphone contacts information for iphone users may present a similar concern.

Has anyone working on Contacts looked at how other Contact applications work? Just asking, because it does not seem like it.

Is their a Proton Contacts? I've searched it, but did not found something worthy of a Proton Contacts app/service. I can add a contact in mail, but can't open a view with all my contacts?

In Apple calendar I set date of birth and then repeat each year. What I like is to see age each year different because it takes from original DOB. In PC I have to add manually because it doesn`t Sync and then I write in note: 2026 - HERE AGE.
This should be automatically. -
just make the birthdays and the anniversaries available as a separate calendar that can be turned on and off (visibility).
