Avoid exposing core email addresses
So here's something about the behaviour of Proton Mail I find puzzling and concerning. When I received a mail sent to one of my aliases from an unwanted source in the desktop app for Mac, I clicked on the option to disable the alias. I was then presented with a dialog box USING ONE OF MY CORE NON-ALIAS EMAIL ADDRESSES to send an email to unsubscribe from the sender's email list. This seems to be the worst response for my my privacy - why on earth would I want to send an email from one of my core email addresses and thereby expose it, when all I wanted to do was disable an alias????
Surely a much better response would be to send the unsubscribe request using the alias address? Or NOT to email an unsubscribe request at all, but rather, to go to Proton Pass and simply disable the email alias there.

Proton Mail usually emphasizes privacy, so showing a core non-alias address in that context feels like a serious design flaw. If the intention is to unsubscribe, it should logically use the alias address, not expose your primary one. Disabling an alias should remain isolated from your main account details. I’d recommend reporting this behavior to Proton Mail support so they can clarify or address it properly. check out for further info :https://letterboxed.info/
