  2. Native Windows ARM64 Bridge and / or Mail App

Please finally develop / update the Proton Bridge App to work with Windows 11 ARM64, as a native version. The emulated mail app laggs heavily.

  3. Proton Mail and Calendar Bridge for iOS

My work HIPAA compliant encrypted email through Microsoft exchange works with apple's mail and calendar apps, so I don't necessarily understand why that couldn't be the same for Proton, especially if it just works through a device management profile like how desktop proton bridge works for the apple mail app.

I am not asking this because I think there's something inherently wrong with the Proton mobile apps, I am asking because I would like one app where I can view all of my inboxes together (same for calendar). I personally have my personal proton mail inboxes as well as Microsoft…

  4. Option to display newest emails first within a conversation thread

I would like to request an option to reverse the order of emails within a conversation thread, so that the newest messages appear at the top instead of the bottom.

  5. Edit calendar entry by double clicking

    Hello,
I would be nice and streamlined if I could edit existing calendar entries in the web interface by double clicking on the entry. Currentrly you need to single click and then select the edit icon in the popup window.

  6. Smart Watch support (wearOS Apple Watch)

Since users of samsung/apple/other watches is increasing. I believe it is important to start to support Proton Calendar on it. As it saved users time with watches. Specifically the inclusion of a Tile so that we can see our day's agenda.

  8. Separate mail and calendar into different apps

add a separate proton calendar icon to the Proton mail/calendar app, so you can directly open the calendar without opening the mail app.
for example the ms mail and calendar app is one app but it behaves as a mail and a separate calendar app.

  9. Modern contact management with social links

    Hello Proton Team,

I really enjoy using Proton Mail and I recently migrated my contacts from iCloud.

One thing that feels currently limited is the Contacts interface and contact management features. Compared to Apple Contacts or Google Contacts, Proton Contacts still feels quite minimal.

It would be amazing to have:

    • A more complete and spacious contact interface
    • Full-page contact editing/viewing
    • Support for social media fields (Instagram, LinkedIn, Mastodon, etc.)
    • Custom URL fields with personalized labels
    • Richer notes and profile information
    • Better organization for modern digital identities

Proton Mail has become a full ecosystem, and having more advanced contact management would…

  10. Feature Request: Native Retention Policy Support with Backup and Export Integration

    Dear Proton Developers,

Retention and deletion management in Proton Mail currently require manual intervention using labels and searches. Although message expiration (self-destruct) and trash/spam auto-delete exist, they don’t provide sufficiently customizable or automated retention control based on user-defined policies.

    Proposed improvements:

Introduce native retention policies configurable per folder and/or label, with options like:

    Keep emails forever

Keep in inbox for X days, then archive or export automatically

Delete immediately or after specified time periods

Integrate automated export/backup functionality to securely transfer emails to secondary encrypted storage before deletion, enabling safe archiving and compliance.

Provide a user interface to monitor, audit,…

  13. Booking Links - Ability for people to cancel or rebook without having to email & other features

This is a feature I am really struggling without after my move away from Google and thus Calendly.

    1. When people book with me using my booking link and need to change/reschedule or cancel - they need to email me. In Calendly there's a link generated in the calendar event itself that people can use to cancel or reschedule without having to email me. As it stands now, people need to email me to do either.

    2. Generally the booking link settings are super limiting. A few examples being: not being able to add buffers (I know there's an idea submitted here…

  14. Let fairemail client app configure your mail

It would be nice if you could just get it together with them as a email client application that just inherited the proton mail client so I could use all my emails on one application while I still keep the proton Mail app as well. Just wanted to let that expression out and don't expect you guys to listen but it's worth a shot.

  15. Right-click context menu option to search all emails from the same sender

Gmail offers a simple right-click (or long-press) context menu on any email that includes an option like "Search mail from [sender@example.com]". This instantly filters the inbox to show all messages from that sender — no manual search query needed.

I'd love to see Proton Mail add the same UX pattern:
    - Right-click any email in the message list
    - A context menu option appears: "Show all emails from [sender]"
    - Clicking it runs an automatic search filtered to that sender's address

This is a huge quality-of-life improvement for power users who manage high-volume inboxes, hunt down subscriptions, or…

  16. Flagging email importance

I would like to be able to flag the importance of outgoing emails. Default should be Normal, but it would be nice to be able set the importance/priority to High for some emails, so the recipient knows whether an email has above average importance and could also filter by this flag.

Note that this is different than the Star marking, which can not be applied during email composition and can not be transferred to the recipient.

  17. Email List Archive

Users select authorized email subscription lists and assign a retention policy to them (quantity or age). Only messages that meet the requirements, for that email list identification (sender, directly addressed, subject, size, and combination thereof), are maintained in the mailbox and the rest are automatically deleted. This helps reduce clutter and consumption. ideally it is run on the server side on receipt but it could be a client side rule or even folders with rules or a combination of the client side rule and a folder retention policy..

  18. Clicking the unread email count does not filter the message list

The Windows Mail app displays the number of unread emails, but clicking this number does nothing. Users must manually enable the unread filter, which is less convenient.

    Steps to reproduce:
-Open a mailbox that contains unread emails.
-Click the displayed unread email count.

    Expected behavior:
The message list is filtered to show only unread emails.

    Actual behavior:
Nothing happens when the unread email count is clicked.

  19. Hide less relevant calendars from the sidebar

Over time, some calendars stop being useful or relevant. It would good to be able to archive a calendar without removing it. You just do not make all calendars visible on the sidebar rather than have a list of checked-out calendars which provide no further help to you.

  20. Email Templates!

Sometimes I send dozens of emails that have the same text, only the recipient's name at the beginning changes. In thse cases, with good old Thunderbird I just create a template, open it, write the recipient's address, and send it. Swift and clean.

Proton doesn't have email templates. I'm lucky because I know of Thunderbird, but if I were just slightly less tech savvy that would be some stress you give me, Proton!

Note: Mailchimp and the like just don't feel privacy-oriented since they decided to block an account I used because the email was determine that it was encouraging…
