Sort newsletters by overall COUNT regardless of read/unread
The newsletter feature is awesome but it is missing a core sorting functionality which is sorting by the number of emails not currently deleted - regardless of read/unread status. I want to sort so that I can clean up my inbox with the most bang for buck, and all the ones that have nothing "unhandled" will naturally fall to the bottom.

Sync third-party calendars faster than within 8-16 hours
In the docs about subscribing to external calendars, you state that you sync third-party calendars like Google, Outlook, or Nextcloud only every 8 to 16 hours (https://proton.me/support/subscribe-to-external-calendar). This is by far too slow to make third-party subscriptions useful. If my iOS calendar app can sync a Google calendar within seconds, you should too. Please reduce the sync time to ideally less than 1 minute, but 5 minutes at most.

Better email thread grouping by actual email replies, not by subject
Current way of doing email thread is not reflecting what it should look like. Emails with the same subject but not on the same thread shows up grouped together and it is hard to use.

Date-Based Filtering in Proton Mail
I would like to suggest an improvement to the filtering system in Proton Mail.
Currently, filters allow conditions based on sender, subject, keywords, etc., but it would be extremely useful to have the ability to create filters based on the age of an email (relative to the current date).
For example, I would like to create rules such as:
Automatically move all unread emails that are older than 10 days (based on today’s date) to a specific folder or highlight them.
Automatically move emails that are older than 10 days and already read to the Trash or to another designated…

Select more than 50 emails and perform bulk actions
You've implemented "select 50 messages and perform bulk actions". Congrats!
Now we need the same thing available for all messages. We do not want to have to build AI agents to select and delete 50 message at a time. We want to be able to delete them all in one go from the Web client, like on other platforms.
I've seen this implemented as a 2 step action, select 50, then a checkbox shows up to allow the user to select all messages if they want to.19 votes -

Regarding ProtonMail’s filter creation feature, it would be helpful if these filters were sorted alphabetically, or if users could sort them that way, and if they could also search for filters by name. This would make it much easier to check whether a filter already exists and to modify an existing one if necessary.

Make it easy to view newsletters that do not have a filter applied
I use the Newsletters feature and have over 300 identified newsletters in my account. It would be helpful if alongside the "Active" and "Unsubcribed" tabs there was a tab that listed newsletters that do not have an existing filter applied.

Show matching filters when viewing an email
When viewing an email that has had a sieve/filter applied it would be helpful to show & link to that filter. This would make it considerably easier to update a filter that is not behaving as expected.

Add feature to view .eml attachments
A very common practice in business settings is to reference related email conversations by attaching them to the current conversation in the form of an .eml file.
Currently, Proton Mail does not support viewing .eml attachments, neither in the web app nor in the desktop client. It is possible to get around this limitation by using a third-party email client and accessing Proton Mail through Bridge.
Just as with .pdf and other formats, being able to view attachments in the .eml format directly in Proton Mail would be a big quality of life change for those of us who regularly…

A button in the pdf viewer to open the pdf in the system default pdf viewer
A button in the pdf viewer to open the pdf in the system default pdf viewer. That enables viewing the pdf and the email side-by-side. Today I have to download the pdf to do that.

Allow event colours to be transferred to all users in a shared calendar
When a user in a shared calendar changes the colour of an event, there should be an option to change the colour of that event for all other users.
It means I would be able to create one shared calendar with lots of different event types, rather than lots of different calendars with different colours.
It could come in the form of an option under the calendars settings. "Allow users to change event colours" etc...

Undo Time
Undo Time is limited to 20 seconds.
I am bit slow in thinking, so I would need more time to figure out if I am wrong or not.
A further threshold of 60 seconds, or even better also a free one, would be great.Thanks

Sorting Mail filters for easy reading.
Under Proton Mail’s filter settings, the user cannot sort the list of filters they have created, making navigation difficult. Could the team add a button to help sort the list?

Synchronize Proton Pass with Proton Mail Contacts
Having some synchronization between Proton Mail and Proton Pass in regards to contacts/identities would be helpful for keeping track of identities or people you're needing to maintain contact with. Having the two not synchronized means you're tracking duplicate information across various Proton apps. I know others have alluded to being able to synchronize Proton Contacts with phone or desktop contacts, which would make synchronization with Password Pass even more helpful. This would mostly involve using the identities for online forms, but would be a nice QoL feature to have. Maybe provide an button/option to disable the sync per-contact or across…

Shrink attachment preview top bar
The attachment preview top toolbar in Proton Mail is genuinely too vertically huge (~2cm on my display) for just:
- the name/icon of the file;
- next/previous attachment arrows;
- download & close buttons.
I understand this might be a design choice, however it unnecessarily limits the available space for the attachment preview itself, particularly on a laptop.3 votes -
Search for all emails that are NOT in a label/folder
Proton Mail currently supports "search only emails from this folder" and "search only emails that have this label."
My idea is to add these options:
- EXCLUDE this label from search

Select newsletters with checkboxes
The newsletters view is great. It would be even greater if you cloud select newsletters with checkboxes just like emails, and apply actions (unsubscribe all, remove all from list, move all to trash, etc) with just one click to all of them!

Comic sans font option
I think it is the peak of comedy to send my friends emails in comic sans font, and I would like to request the ability to do that here on Proton as well (seeing as Google already allows it). It's silly, I know it's silly, but sometimes we need silly things with the world the way it is. Therefore, I would like to request the silly idea solely for the sake of comedy.

After an email is forwarded we should have a way to auto-delete it from the inbox so we don't have copies of the email.

My calendars arrangement and sorting function
The ability to re-arrange the order of My calendars in the desktop side bar/event drop down menu would be a useful quality of life change. Currently, you must deleted the calendars you have created and create new ones in the exact order you want instead of dragging and dropping the sorting, which is terrible.
