  1. Export emails to PDF

Title says everything. Now we can only export to .eml, .pdf would be incredibly useful.

  2. Calendar Booking page for teams

A booking page for teams checks the availability of several of our employees.

    There should be two options:
    a) All team members must be available at the scheduled time. The appointment is scheduled for all employees and the client. Example: There is a dedicated team that works with a client. The client would like to schedule a meeting when all of our colleagues are available.

    b) At least one team member (any member) must be available at the scheduled time. The system automatically selects an available employee and schedules an appointment for them and the customer. Example: A customer needs…

  3. Label automatically applied when email comes from external email provider like Gmail

The automatic forward from Gmail (or other providers) is very good, but I should have an option to have a label automatically identifying which emails are coming from there rather than to Proton. Right now I had to create a filter that applies a label when the recipient is my personal email; however, this doesn't work all the time. For example in those cases where I'm not in the recipient (eg Bcc or mailing lists), this label is not automatically applied and thus it would be good for Proton to do this automatically for me.

    Thanks!

  4. Conflict alerts

Calendar events may be tagged as "exclusive". The user can select in settings if new entries will default to exclusive or not.

Any time an exclusive event overlaps with another exclusive event, the user is given a warning about the conflict, so they can then decide how to resolve it.

If two exclusive events are booked close to each other and they both have addresses listed, an estimated travel time could be generated and a warning given if there isn't going to be enough time to travel from one location to the next.

This will be beneficial when importing events…

  5. Timer to delete notification emails after # of days since they arrived.

When creating filters I'd like to add a timer to run it. For example, when I get a certain email automatic notification wait 7 days or 30 days then delete it.
Maybe you can create an automatic category where all notification emails will be automatically marked with a timer to then be move to trash. In trash they have another 30 days until permanently deleted.

  6. Improve Search Output for Mail

One major thing that is missing in the search output is metadata - Showing whole folder path (main folder as well as sub-folders) instead of coloured folder icon; email size, attachment types, etc.
This would greatly improve efficiency for users and enable us to find items at a glance.

The best way to achieve that, I believe, is to have user definable "columns" - Similar to desktop Outlook application.

  7. Calendar Search On Android App

Really not much to say. I would like to be able to search my calendar using the android app. Not having search in the app severally hinders the functionality for me.

  8. Enforce Username Privacy via Primary Email Address Lockdown

    As a Proton mail user,
I want all incoming mail sent to my primary Proton username (email address) to automatically bounce back to the sender as "undeliverable" (as if the account does not exists), unless the email originates from an official Proton mail domain,
So that I an keep my primary account username entirely hidden and free of clutter, forcing all external correspondence (i.e. everything except for official Proton correspondence) to go through my managed aliases or Proton Pass aliases

*I understand I can have something similar by creating a custom Sieve with reject or discard, but it is not…

  9. Sending E2EE emails to non-Proton users without the manual password/key hassle

I’ve been a very happy user and I’m incredibly grateful for what the Proton team has built. Proton is easily the best at privacy when both sides are on the platform, but recently I’ve been sending a lot of sensitive documents—IDs, bank docs, and contracts—to government officials. It’s made me realize that while Proton is great for privacy if both sides use it, it’s still a huge headache when your recipient isn’t a Proton user or a tech freak.

Right now, we have two options for non-Proton users, and both have major real-world friction. First, there’s PGP. Unless the recipient…

  10. Multi window functionality in proton mail

I just want multiple windows of mail as an option in windows/linux. I want to have a calendar open in a window, windows with different mailboxes, and windows for writing emails so I can cross reference all of this data while working.

  11. enable reminders to be sent to phone as text messages

As someone who needs strong, clear reminders that don't require me to remember to check my email and then have to click the currently oblique email reminders in proton, I would love to see the option to have event reminders sent to me by text message - as often as I need them.

  12. Sorting by Label

    Sort by Label
Currenty you can sort your email by subject, sender, recipient and attachment. However sorting by label really would help me out big time. I flag most of my emails by type of category and the requested actions. Sorting by outstanding actions would help me big time

  13. Display calendar notifications automatically sorted by time

I suggest displaying notifications for a calendar event sorted by time (as in Google Calendar). In other words, the notification closest in time to the event time should appear at the top, with all others listed in descending order of time until the notification furthest from the event time. This improves readability, making it easier to decide whether another notification is needed.

  14. "Always BCC" on Proton for iPad

I don't see why even K-9 does this but Proton won't. Is it a privacy-related thing?

Full explanation follows, for all it matters.

New to Proton, I use it on several devices although my main is a desktop computer, from which I keep track of every single thing going on at my company. The desktop is obviously locked up and safe, but my mobile devices, being mobile, are with me most of the time. Should either get stolen, I wouldn't want the info on it to be way too important - which is why I don't use it as a…

  15. filter messages with calendar invite

There are a lot of filters you can apply to messages (unread, has attachment, etc) can a filter be added for messages with calendar invites. This can be helpful when you need to join a meeting and you're trying to find that link

  16. Show event creator in shared calendars

I use Proton Calendar on the macOS desktop app with a shared calendar. Currently, when an appointment is created in the shared calendar, I cannot easily see who created the event.

It would be very useful if Proton Calendar showed the event creator or owner inside the event details. For example, the event could display something like:

    “Created by: [name/email address]”

This would help shared calendar users understand who added an appointment, especially in calendars used by families, teams, or small groups where multiple people can create and edit events.

Ideally, this information should be visible in the event details…

  17. Allow the send from email field to be blank

Allow the send-from email field to be blank, forcing me to ensure I'm sending from the right address. Suddenly sending from a different email has caused a lot of confusion for both me and the recipient. If it is an impossible programing task to let me set the email to be used for each contact, then leaving the field blank when composing would be a huge help. I want all my email in one account, so I'm not logging in multiple times.
(note: I've updated this suggestion to reflect that it is only when beginning a new email, and not…

  18. zoom integration with bookings

i'm using "other location" for some of my booking pages right now, but it would be great to have zoom integrated into the booking settings. i am still using zoom bc proton meet doesn't have the same accessibility options.

  20. Filtering to Help Distinguish Mailers from Common Senders - e.g. Zoom.Us

Example: Assume one receives video conferencing requests from multiple companies that use the same sender, such as Zoom where every email is sent from no-eply@zoom.us. The behind the scenes sender could be anyone from Company A to Company Z. Often the "reply-to" will be filled with the company requesting the video conference.

I see 2 options to solve this problem easily without custom scripting by the ProtonMail user:

    1. Add a filter for "reply-to" to the existing filter mechanism OR
    2. Add a filter to search the body of an email (MUCH MORE INTENSIVE).

    Thanks for considering this feature.
