Proxy in ProtonMail app for linux
It would be nice to be able to add a connection settings in the ProtonMail app whether it is on windows, Mac or Linux (but mainly in Linux because more easy to setup) to be able to connect through a proxy socks5, http, https (preferably socks5) for adding a secure link layer like going through tor. This is in the case you are already running a vpn and you (as you should) run tor or i2p inside that vpn tunnel too.

add functionality to support multi select/forward/delete email items
When working with the Proton email app in either the web-based client or desktop app it is very unfriendly to easily select multiple, individual messages with e.g. control/space/etc and then easily delete with DEL or SHIFT+DEL like working with Outlook or Gmail with just the keyboard. Additionally, it would be good to open a new compose-email in a separete window and enable dragging/dropping one or more existing email(s) into the new message to forward messages. This would be a great usability improvement.

Obsolete / Prompt setting for each email address in contacts
I would like to see a setting for each email address in the contacts, maybe it is called Email Status:
Normal - Email is used normally
Obsolete - Email is obsolete (the contact changed their email ... to proton!) but is used for identifying older emails using that address, you cannot compose a new email to that address without proton objecting.
Prompt - Email can only be used after verification by the user. For example maybe you don't want to accidentally send an email to your ex-partner or to your boss or someone you have a fraught relationship with. This…2 votes -
Display amount of selected emails
I would love to see the amount of selected emails in the list view.

sort folders without going to settings
On the Proton Mail inbox (https://mail.proton.me/u/5/inbox) scroll down to 'Folders':
Add a sort button right next to the + (add folder) button and before the gear (settings) button. This would eliminate the need to load another page to sort the folders and then reload the inbox page.
Also, as others have recommended, allow the subfolders to be sorted alphabetically.
Optionally, allow the folders to be sorted when they are created

Implement vim-style or emacs style navigation in the inbox along-side shortcuts.

Search in Settings
Please add a search bar to the settings. It’s really hard to find specific options because there are so many settings. Take a look at how the Vivaldi browser implemented settings search — it’s very convenient and intuitive.

Color coding band size - post date
After the date has passed, the color band reduces to like 10%. Why?

Proton Mail row view: preview pane, and default goes to next message
When viewing emails with row view, I have two suggestions
- It would be useful to have a preview pane in row view mode.
- After processing an email the window goes back to the main page, so I need to click on the next message. It would be better if by default the next message was displayed instead, or at least to have an option to choose5 votes -
most recent label
I would like the most recently used labels to populate the label list when I go to select a label as it is nice a quick for multiple received e-mails on the same topic. One click and its right there.

For devices which have manual input either by touch or pen/stylus, allow to add notes for a meeting/appointment as editable attachments

Secure email portal
Create a secure email service where you can tag an email as “secure” and when you hit send it emails the recipient a different message with a link to a secure portal where they can read the original message. SMTP is inherently insecure, and taking someone to a secure portal to view the message is much more secure. There are commercial services that offer this functionality, like Zix.com.

Don't wait to display own calender while loading external calendars on Android
When opening the Android calendar app, external calendars take a long time to load. The Proton calendar isn't displayed during loading; you only see the loading icon.
It would be nice if the Proton calendar were visible immediately and the external .ics calendars were loaded later without blocking the user interface.It would be even better if external events were cached locally for a quick overview, and then synchronized in the background.

Pull Lists of Event Series
It would be so nice to be able to pull a list of all the vents in a series so see in list form the past and future instances of the events in that series. Maybe click on one and have a "see all events in this series" link or similar?

Improvement needed for email import
There needs to be better flexibility when importing emails from other services. I want to be able to import emails without being forced to add a label. I want them to go directly into a selected folder (for example, Archive).
Also, please add the ability to import emails from local clients like Thunderbird or The Bat. I used them in the past, and all my emails are stored in local databases. These databases can be exported, but there is no way to import them into Proton servers. Please add an option to upload such emails, even if they must be…

More flexible themes for web mail
We need more flexibility with themes in the web version of the mail (tbh in desktop apps i would like to have this ability also: at least to use web theme inside the app without settings for it). Look at the attached image — I really like how one of the services lets you choose a theme and also set accent colors.

Delete 100 of OLDEST emails — NOT newest
When you click the “select emails to delete” button in trash, it makes absolutely no sense that the newest emails in the trash are deleted instead of the oldest.

android mail app email folder list open & close collapsible list like on web
As per title android proton mail app to be able to collapse and open folder lists like on web.
While i'm here i also back other peoples ideas such as more folder colour options & proton alias to be integrated with mail app rather than under proton pass app. Oh and with all these separate proton services i strongly feel separate security login credentials would be a good way to go rather than using same username / password across all proton services.
