*Unlimited* Disposable Email Aliases
(to vote for unlimited alias, visit https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483/suggestions/45394132)
Startmail explains it perfectly. They offer unlimited disposable aliases, which expire within a given amount of time. They also offer custom aliases which can be saved and used indefinitely.
It is the disposable alias which will help protect privacy, when submiting an email to an untrusted recipient. After all, how much privacy do we have if our fixed emails become the foundation for building and selling our marketing profiles, just as is done by gmail. We limit personal activity virtual trails by disposing of aliases for casual uses. But, unlike custom aliases, which build on our identifiable original email address, disposable aliases divert from our true email identity by utilizing a sub-domain created for this specific purpose, such as: xxx@tda.protonmail.com (tda = temporary disposable alias)
You avoid abuse by limiting disposable alias creation on a daily basis. Perhaps 5 max per day.
Here is Startmail's explanation:

The Blur service (by Abine) also offers a "masked mail" free service. But their service is not encrypted:

as a business account, we should be able to add unlimited aliases to any email address with a inbox.

Not only disposable aliases but unlimited aliases, regardless of if they will be permanent or not.

Fastmail's and iCloud's implementations are even better, since all of the disposable aliases are on the base fastmail.com or icloud.com domain, not some subdomain that is used exclusively for aliases. Proton Mail needs to do the same on the protonmail.com and proton.me domains in order for us to use disposable aliases on Proton Mail with the same level of confidence.

Fastmail also has similiar unlimited aliaes so hope Proton does the same and/or make using integration of Simplelogin with Proton in a simpler process then now.

Having SimpleLogin as part of the Proton Unlimited plan is just fantastic. I use it all the time!
I do however miss the ability to send mails from my Proton Mail using any of my SimpleLogin addresses created.
We badly need this feature - available on web, Androis and iOS…! -

I don't get how this is still not included as part of "Mail Plus".
I want an email provider with good email functions. I don't want an online storage, vpn, or password manager. I have all those already and they are dedicated services with better functionality and faster development speed.
Why is it not possible to have a proper email tier with SimpleLogin included?
I also think that SimpleLogin should be better integrated into Proton Mail. I get that it appears in Proton Pass as a login identity rather than an alias for sending and receiving emails, but I would like the full SimpleLogin functionality integrated into Proton Mail, including the management of those Aliases.
It isn't even properly listed in the Proton plans explanation page https://proton.me/support/proton-plans
Just kinda sucks that Proton keeps adding services, but the core that makes it valuable feels neglected. -

I actually 100% agree with this. I pay for the tier that lets me use SimpleLogin, and I use that a *lot.*
But the thing is, I've found that a LOT of websites prevent you from using aliased emails. Having the option to alias with proton-native email extensions would get around those filters and let me properly obscure my address from as many places as possible.

While not exactly concurring with the necessity of this due to simplelogin, I do wish we could use "pm.me" as an alias on simplelogin with a subdomain of our own choosing: eg "sub.pm.me".

You can use SimpleLogin for unlimited disposable email aliases if you have a pay plan.

Give all features of simplelogin in Protonmail because simplelogin is blocked on many websites as they consider it a disposable mail service

This is ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL. You now have Simplelogin, so WHY can't this feature be managed WITHIN the proton mail service? Why do i have to go through another company, platform and mobile app to manage this?
Even damn YAHOO with their paid plan offers 500 "disposable email" addresses which you can create and delete at will, from inside the mail client...PLEASE INTEGRATE THIS

We need the ability to have unlimited full feature addresses. Simple Login / AnonAddy are great BUT they aren't preferred for important accounts and I have quite a few ( Banks, taxes, healthcare, insurance, work, etc ) that need real addresses and this 15 address limit is ridiculous. What happened to the 50 addy limit?

This should be marked as complete, right? We have Simple Login now, which does exactly this.

Currently, I use a catchall which works poorly. Please create low-friction on-the-fly aliases and coordinate with 1password to integrate them into their website account creation and login process. I understand that a proton password mgr is in the works but for me that is a hard sell. 1password has been around a long time and has a perfect security record. Passwords are critical. Even though I love Proton, there is no way I'd risk my passwords to a new password manager.

SimpleLogin is now included in the Unlimited plan. Should be marked as Completed?

Proton needs to implement this. It's a privacy must-have these days, and it needs to be a feature available *from the email provider*.

This is why they bought SimpleLogin.

Offer a way to easily create temporary emails (with random usernames so that we can sign up for services without sharing our personal email) / "relay" emails (like the Firefox Relay service)
Having everything in one place and quickly accessible would be amazing

When it comes to secure email, this seems like a no-brainer. I would love to see Proton do what Fastmail and 1password are doing together!

Proton already offers this feature in 2 places.
1. Catch-all email in Proton Unlimited plan
2. Paid plan of SimpleLogin. If you already are a paying customer and don't want to pay for 1 more subscription, 1st option if for you. After setting up catch-all email with custom domain, you can use any username@yourdomain.tld as alias without setting it up in settings as another address.
If you want unlimited alias without adding custom domain, then I am sorry but you have to use a service which specialises on email alias, such as SimpleLogin or Firefox Relay. Firefox Relay is the cheaper option.
I'm gonna vote for "Not at all" because even though proton mail isn't for managing aliases, it does offer that feature, albeit some setup by user is required.
