Swipe to next/previous email on Android
I think a nice feature to have which is already seen in at least the gmail app on Android is the ability to swipe to the next/previous mail while reading. Say I'm reading my email's and I want to read the next one. The way I have to do this now is by pressing back and then opening the next mail. It would be a lot more comfortable to be able to just swipe from left to right to read the next mail or swipe from right to left to read the previous one.

On my mobile (Android) app, I can customize what swipe left/right will do on the first page that lists all my emails, but I don't have a way to tell it what to do when I swipe left/right when I am in an email. There should be a way for me to be able to swipe left to go to the previous email and right to go to the next email. The way it is now, I have to go back to the email list and then open the next email and it feels slow and cumbersome.

This is essential and not an Android only feature - needed in iOS app desperately!!

Very clunky to have to go back to main screen. -

It is one of my most wanted features for the mobile app.
As I usually use the app to read emails, it is really annoying to go back to the email list and select the next email. -

In the Proton-PhoneApp I have to tap on it to read, then back out again, then on another email (even if right next to it) that's more than in gMail to get to the next email: there you can simply swipe left/right for the next email. Why not make migrating easier and copy good, essential functions from them?

Totally agreed. Should have swipe left and right feature just like the gmail app on iOS for users to choose swiping for functions like going to the previous/next email, read/unread email, archive/delete email. This is truly essential.

It would be great if we could get a feature in the app by which we swipe to go to next or previous messages just like other email apps in the market and also a feature where we could see next or previous message after deleting the current message in the reading mode in both the app and web version.

This is needed but I would suggest the swipe options are customizable, I prefer to swipe left for back, right for forward. I read left to right so that makes sense in my head.

I really really agree...
Coming back to the inbox to read the next email, is really not user friendly.
For me, it's a must have. Unless protonmail user are not email heavy, which is curious nowday! -

I would really appreciate this feature. The lack of ability to navigate from one email to the next while reading is the thing that bothers me most about the ProtonMail Android app.

+1 isn't annoying to have to go back to see the next email?

This is the only feature stopping me from enjoying the Android app fully -- as silly as that may sound. Moving between messages requires a lot of precision button presses, which makes it difficult to do with one hand. It sounds petty as I say it, but GMail has this feature and it's so enjoyable. I will be ecstatic if/when this is implemented. Thanks for all you do!
