Ability to remove/delete attachments
Attachments are not always worth keeping, so please add ability to delete selected attachments as an alternative to simply downloading them.

That should be there, it's not as straightforward as I'd like. It should be easier, I agree.

Attachments box might benefit from an option to remove a selected attachment. I added the wrong attachment and then had to delete the draft email and start again.

You can do this in Outlook. Nice if proton can add this too.

I support this feature. I have Protonmail plus and plan to use it regularly. However, people often send large attachments that tend to occupy mailbox space. Professional email users face this often, when exchanging multiple revisions of slide decks and comments. It would be very useful to keep the email text while deleting attachments.

Yes! And not just "as an alternative to simply downloading them", but also after downloading them.
In many cases, one wants to keep the message in the inbox, but delete the attachment -- mainly to save storage space, but sometimes for other reasons, as well

Since space is so limited, I think this is a great idea.

Also useful for deleting all the logos etc. that companies send with their emails. I imagine that they take up a ton of storage collectively. In addition, I hate that all those emails with logos is shown as having an attachment, making it hard to find those with actual attachments.

It would be great if you could delete attachments from a received email, after downloading those attachments.
Photos often are very large files and chew-up your mailbox memory allotment. -

This is a fundamental feature for business users. Emails contain documents passed back and forth, usually with notes about what was changed and the associated attachment containing a version number, Many of these are passed back and forth through the days these are written. Only the metadata for the attachment and email content needs to be retained in the email folder. The attachments are saved by the user and updated.
Metadata should contain the file name and the storage location on the users system (folder) along with the date/time detached from the email. Optionally - as some business email systems provide - Proton mail could keep an attachment folder archive and store the detached attachments in that archive, giving the user a link in the email to provide and alternate path to access the document in that detached attachments archive.

Please add a way to remove attachments from messages (without having to delete the message). As storage can be at a premium on this service it's a useful ability to have to manage your own space usage.

Being able to remove attachments from emails I've sent too.

It would be great to have the ability of keeping a message without his attachment. Particularly in a conversation or when the attachment is sent by the mailbow owner.
I didn't find the feature in protonMail.

Good idea, but there must be some indication that there was an attachment in the original message. Ability to delete an attachment from an email, but keeping the metadata such as the attachments filename, size etc

An option to remove metadata from attached files like images (for example location where a photo was done), pdf/doc files...
