Adding my voice, let's make this happens. I used Proton for business, I have a ton of mail, and I'm losing my time and my mind.

I went with Zoho Mail instead of Proton because of this.

Right now from the web client attachments appear at the bottom of an email. When there is a lenghty email thread, one must scroll for a long time to get to the attachments. It would be better if attachments could appear and be downloaded at the top of the email or both top and bottom.

Alternatively, or as well as, it would be nice to have the option to shrink the full email trail, don't need to see the full trail. Both Outlook and Gmail have the 3 little dots.

I agree, please Proton do something about this. It doesn't make sense that you have to scroll down all the way to the bottom of an email (thread) in order to download attachments. It happened already a couple times that I didn't notice an attachment a client sent, it was embarrassing. There should at least be a 'download attachment' function in the upper header, next to 'filter', 'lablel', '...' etc.

Man, I was going to post a new request for this. To me this is critical because when you have an email thread with a lot of people in it, you have to scroll counltess times just to reach the attachment. I think it should be located at the top below the bar that has the buttons 'mark as unread', 'thrash' etc etc.

Alternatively, if you don't have the attachment at the top, Proton could keep it at the bottom, BUT keep the attachment line fixed there, IE the attachment shows at the bottom of the screen, not the bottom of the email thread.
This is a very important feature in my business, I have long email threads back and forth over weeks or months and then the contract is at the bottom. I need faster access to that contract.

We need that change asap. Frustrating to scroll in each mial to see the attachment...

By defaul proton add attachement at the end of message.
in case of long thread you have to scroll down the whole message in order to check attachments. Adding attachement right after the "header" would be nice

This is a must ASAP. Why would anyone want to have to scroll scroll scroll to the bottom of every email to see the attachment!!!!! Frustrating! :)

When an email chain gets very long, you have to continually scroll to the bottom to find the attachments to a new email. But it would be more user friendly, if email attachments were located just under the From and To information, like Outlook.

I agree completely. I would imagine something like Outlook display. An other solution would be that previous email exchanges are hidden in the email, so there would be no need to scroll down for ages (but I know Proton will answer that emails are not read, so this is not feasible).

It would make Proton's Web Mail resp. the use of Proton Mail more useable, if the attachment would be shown direktly on top after the sender and recipient's name (in best case with a small preview), so users wouldn't always have to scroll all the way down.

Could you please introduce this?

This is why I came here! Scrolling up and down is tedious, Text should be oriented at the bottom always.

Please add this, I keep missing important attachments because I don't notice them underneath all the text. Plus even when I do remember to look down there, it's incredibly annoying to have to scroll down past the text to open or save attachments.

My suggestion is to show attachments at the top of grouped conversation. In large groups I have to scroll a lot to get to the bottom, where the attachments are placed now. If I would find them at the top, it would be much easier. Or – even better – show them at the top AND at the bottom … you´ll never know.

Please, this is very important.
It is extremely annoying to scroll and scroll to find attachments.
I have lost a lot of files because of this.
I am a hushmail user and I am testing Proton, this issue with attachments is stopping the migration of the entire company team.

This has 126 votes and so many comments, plus it's obvious. Sadly, Google just doesn't care.
