Offline mode for mobile
Please allow the app to perform offline operations (read any and all inbox email, delete, write and send emails), which will be queued for syncing whenever online. Same for calendar events.
As it is now, any email sending/deleting, calendar event creation etc will FAIL if the phone happens to be disconnecting from wifi, changing networks or any of the thousands of possibilities of a mobile device moving around at all times. Any other Android email client knows to queue these tasks offline (ie, gmail OUTBOX folder), and sync them with the server at any available time it manages to connect, or keep trying until it does (and not throwing a FAILED error, trashing all the text you wrote).

I do not have this problem. Is it already fixed or what do I have to do to see the problem?

Offline full or user selective download to store Emails, attachments and folders locally (encrypted) including all local operations (read/write/edit/delete, etc.) is a basic feature for various obvious reasons yet one is caught with a huge surprise that this fundamental feature is missing (in a modern App(lications) like ProtonMail mobile app and Desktop Web version), rendering it basically useless without any internet connection.
Please response to help us understand why this is still not a priority now that we are almost at the end of the year 2024.
Thank you!

Although it appears that a previously opened Email using ProtonMail mobile App (Android) continues to be available offline, this is still impractical as the user now has to keep a tab on each and every Email that has been opened before i.e.contents of an important Email not accessible if not opened previously. -

I await to hear back from the team if such implementation is now active

I was able to send an Email and read some of them in offline mode in Android App.
Also able to see the appointments in the Calendar, is this already implemented? -

When is this coming? The search on iOS is abysmal

If there will be a offline mode, implement better search (and index) as well.

This feature is a must. Why is it still not at least in review?

It is not only a missing and fundamental feature, another I will add it the lack of searching for a name in Contacts for android phones. For this feature I favour Tuta mail

I finally noticed this lacking feature this week when I had a mobile internet issue. I was shocked that it is not a feature from the start. I had offline email compose/browse features in a dos app running on a HP95LX palmtop computer back in 1998. I hope Proton can implement it soon.

Offline availability is a must indeed. Right now, very inconvenient when I need to show tickets/QR codes or just want to re-read an email I recently opened.

This feature should mimic the way Gmail and other clients que tasks when they are created when offline. Please push forward with this

Lack of an offline mode essentially renders the service next to useless. Many people are frequently in areas without connection, and being unable to read critical emails, view QR codes, tickets etc. - or quickly add a calendar event on the go to sync later - is unacceptable.

This is a must. Cannot believe it takes this long.

Agreed. Proton is surprisingly behind on this one. I don’t know of any other mail client that won’t work offline.

I usually don't connect to the Internet while traveling (train, airports, ...) and being able to access synchronized emails without an Internet connection could be great to get boarding pass, confirmation email with departure hours, ...
Even today, not everyone subscribed to an unlimited Internet connection on their mobile :)

Thank you so much.

It's insane that I can't open previously downloaded emails to e.g. open QR codes or see tickets when I have no signal or Proton is down
