    Spark needs to keep a copy of the emails on their servers, so it will never happen because it beats having a private email

    They already do read receipts, but a DSN (delivery status notification) would be great, as it's part of the SMTP protocol already

    Agreed, the SMTP Delivery Status Notification would be awesome. Roundcube implements it as well
