Read receipt / confirmation
Would It is possible to know if the recipient open or read the mail? as https://www.mailbutler.io/en/ or https://mailtrack.io/en/
That would be great!
Thanks

There are several options to achieve email tracking, so would be amazing to have this feature implemented in ProtonMail.
We would like to know if our emails are lost or being read. Please, @protonmail team, add this feature. 🙏🏻

J aimerai que le logiciel ProtonMail demande à chaque fois une confirmation de lecture de nos mails envoyés et nous le dise comme preuve,

Proton is about privacy. This goes totally against it.
Also, it's technically not feasible at all! You may integrate an image with a unique URL to trick the receiver, but if its client is not loading images you would not get notified. The only systems allowing that are email providers that provide the feature for its own users (e.g. outlook accounts sending emails to other outlook accounts), and they can do that because they know everything a user does.

Read receipt is really needed. It should either be enabled by the user globally or by individual email. It is very frustrating that this common feature is not present on Protonmail

I hope in the future there is an option that we can know that our email has been read by the receiver who use a different mail provider similar like gmail.

@Admin:
As with any other service, you should be able to choose whether or not to allow read receipts. For business, this is critical. -

I also would like to know when people are reading my emails. Sometimes, my protonmail emails are being flagged as spam and there's no way to tell if the person has seen my email. I used to use mailtrack before on Gmail, and really liked it.

useful (I think gmail had it for a while. On Mailbird, recently added) to be sure recipients got the mail and opened them.
Thanks about thinking to add it in a future feature.
Best regards

Reciept to acknowledge commented
I've recently found use to employ an option to include in some important outgoing emails a receipt or one click acknowledgement the recipient can use to acknowledge the message was received.

Is there an option when I send an email to get a recieved / read receipt?

I use Boomerang with Gmail to verify someone has opened my IMPORTANT emails. For time sensitive emails you can set a time for it to come back to you letting you know it wasn't opened so you can take other actions to accomplish the task at hand. I would like to see this implemented into ProtonMail.

We all love read statuses in iMessage, WhatsApp, and Messenger. So lets bring them over to Protonmail.
Protonmail could show when people read your emails — use this to get in touch at just the right time. Close deals faster, manage more effectively, and respond with perfect timing.

This would be very useful, especially for teams working in different time zones or dispersed.
Great for accountability. -

They already do read receipts, but a DSN (delivery status notification) would be great, as it's part of the SMTP protocol already

Automaticaly send a notification message when somebody open the e-mail what we sent for them.
So by this we will know for sure the certain person read it (or at least open) or not.1. In common e-mails:
Should contain date and time opened, time untill the e-mail was open (so a guess he/ she even have time to read it all).2. In case of encripted/ password protected e-mail:
Opened straigh with the right password, or not, number of try from the same person, date and time opened, IP adress/ geolocation (city at least), device used, browser used, operating system used, ISP of the network (receiver).
