I prefer to see folders in the order I wish them to be. [usage/priority]

Using sort button does sort in an order but not what I want.

I am sure many others stick to using bridge for Tbird/Gmail because of this.
I am attemting to be goggle free :)
Attempting to use the "manual sort" = Drag & Drop does not work!!

especially as I use 2 browsers Ffox/Brave for different activities.

Currently have to startop PASS desktop and enter password, which of course is TOO hard to remember.

    Maybe the PIN option ??

Shouldn't have to open PASS separately once in the browser

As per the Spring/Summer Roadmap, this is being developed: https://proton.me/blog/pass-roadmap-spring-summer-2026

Folders will be a significant building block for Proton Pass that will go beyond just helping you organize your items. Introducing folders will require some rethinking of our cryptography model, which we’re currently working on. Eventually, you’ll also be able to share folders and subfolders just like your vaults and individual items, giving you another flexible way to share access.

Folders will be available in the coming months. As well as creating vaults, you’ll be able to create dedicated folders and subfolders to organize crucial information for quick retrieval: you can organize by project, by team, by year, or whatever else you need.

    I agree.
When this appeared I though NP, I have to assign emails to it.
BUT NO! PM autodecided for me.

A simple ON/off option, we can "set auto move to folder" on incoming emails, which I did setuo.
BUT newsletters is overriding this grrrr

    I agree with Erich.
Conversational mode should be able to be applied at 3 levels:
    1. Grouping as provided
    2. Folder level - probably not a high demand
    3. Conversation Threading - where user can select WHICH email conversation to thread.

Threading is more important today when we all receive multiple emails from Banks, Stores, MHS/Gov, many wihich do not need to be linked. But others do.

    Example:
Where a complaint has been raised with a service provider, and may involve many To/From emails.
I and others would wish these to be threaded, but the remaining "monthly bill/payment" emails not linked

I do accept that with the inbuild security of ProtonMail not everything can be provided. BUT! I feel this is critical for many.

And similar to other Email services can the conversational view stay threaded when mail moved to specific folder?

I use PM for NHS emails, which can be 2-3 weeks apart and for different "family" memners, so moved to "family member folder" once read.

This is a standard feature in various other email services.
I previously used so that I can archive emails by the year -
    Archive_2022
    Archive_2023
    or
    Archive_Friends
    etc..
    This is a must

Many users would find this a necessity when dealing with government And/Or public organisations, who have a habit of ignoring emails until they feel they have to respond.

At least knowing they have received ensures that the email did not

There is no valid reason for not sending the "received" And/Or "read" once passed through their email server validation.
    Disappear
    Go to incorrect recipient
