  1. Turn newsletters into RSS feeds

I really enjoy the new newsletter menu! A neat feature for this would be the ability to turn those newsletters into RSS feeds, so I can then easily read my newsletters in my favourite RSS reader.

This is my idea how that could be implemented:
There's a button to generate a dedicated alias that I can use to subscribe to a newsletter (similar to aliases for generating log in details in Proton Pass). Instead of landing in my inbox, the mails arrive in the feed. As soon as that alias was generated I also get a link that I can…

  2. Edit/add participants on existing events

I received a booking email and Proton offered me to add the event to my calendar. Once it was created, I wanted to add participants, which seems to be not possible. It would be great to be able to edit the participants list on existing events, without having to create another one.

  4. Proton Calendar, add-on to show week/month in a quick way

    Hello,

It would be good to have an add-on to quickly show week/month, without opening the entire website.

  5. Better Widget

The existing widget provides an overview of the current day’s events, but ignores event duration. A widget that displays the day exactly like in the actual calendar (with different event lengths and gaps) is missing. In that regard, you would even be ahead of Google.

  7. Daily event summaries

    Summary:
Receive a daily summary for all time-specific and all-day events (also if no events are scheduled)

    Description:
Some calendar applications allow you to configure a "daily event summary" notification (preferably via email). Such summaries contain an overview of all scheduled events (all-day and specific-time events) and is sent early in the morning. For example, Google Calendar provides "Daily Agenda", described as: "Receive an email with your agenda every day at 5 a.m. in your current time zone").

    Ideal implementation (to me):
    - Create an account-wide setting to configure daily summaries:
    * Globally enable/disable daily calendar/event summaries
    * If enabled,…

  9. Proton Doc integration

My family likes to plan travels in a Proton doc. Would be great if I could directly show and edit a (part of a) calendar inside a Proton Doc!

  10. Provide the ability to edit the subject line of an e-mail

Often an e-mail comes with a subject line that doesn't completely describe the content. For example, in a newsletter e-mail there may be several articles and the subject line is the first article. I may want to save the e-mail because of the second article. When this happens, I forward the e-mail to myself so I can change the subject line, but then I lose who it came from. Outlook has provided the capability to edit the subject line for many years and I'm surprised I haven't seen this feature in other e-mail applications. Seems like a simple thing to…

  11. Add color to event based on #tag in event title or body

I'd like to define tags or keywords and associate them with a color in my calendar. For example if I have a calendar entry that has the title "Drop off #kids" it would be colored green because of the tag #kids. If there is an entry such as "#meeting for lunch with Silvio" it would be colored yellow because of #meeting and so on.
The tags could be in the title or in the body.

This would also allow a very easy synchronization of colors for shared calendars, because you only have to share the coloring rules for each party…

  12. Client-Side Filtering to Enable Full Header Encryption

ProtonMail utilizes End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) for email bodies, though metadata and headers currently remain unencrypted to facilitate server-side filtering (I assume). This architecture allows the server to instantly sort incoming messages into folders, apply labels, manage expiration dates, or discard emails based on user-defined rules.

A potential enhancement to this system involves implementing content-based filtering. While server-side analysis of encrypted bodies is technically unfeasible due to the E2EE protocol, filtering could be offloaded to the client side. Once a user logs in and the client decrypts the message locally, the application could execute comprehensive filtering rules and synchronize the resulting…

  15. select Proton address as calendar organizer

Proton allows you to create new identities or addresses with the Proton suffix. The problem is the Calendar default organizer is your original proton account. You should be able to choose which address is the organizer.

  16. UI for advanced Sieve Scripts

UI for more advanced Sieve Scripts, especially for nested Sieve-Script (for example moving mails based on sender and add labels depending on subject).

  17. Support older MacOS versions (e.g. Mojave 10.14.6)

Is it possible to support older OS versions with a desktop app? Even a reduced feature set would be fine.

My OS version is MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 for several reasons (stability, performance, etc.).

I still like the convenience of a desktop app to handle my various email addresses for quick access (versus web interface).

  18. Backup & Restore

t's too bad that ProtonMail doesn't have a GUI Backup & Recovery
Tool, instead of having to recover and install backup messages
using the Terminal and DOS or Bridge which makes it more difficult and tedious.

I had no problem saving messages backup as .eml files to ProtonDrive as
a backup; restoring and importing backup messages back into ProtonMail
    should be just as easy.

ProtonMail should have a more intuitive way to restore and import backup
    messages back into ProtonMail.

  19. Add Holocene calendar support

To say we are in the year 2026 is to erase the first cities, the first seeds, and the first stars we named. It cuts the human story in half.
    The Fix: Holocene Calendar (HE)
We add 10,000 years to the current date to honor the complete human era. 12,026 is the honest year of our civilization.

  20. Collapsible replies within an existing message

Current email messages that are replies of replies of replies are well organized in threads, however the email message itself is extremely long and having to scroll through the messages within a thread defeats the purpose if we are unable to see just the message and not the quoted text.

It would be great if you can collapse the quoted text. That's the feature request. Nothing crazy, just a way to hide sections of the email that are redundant and not useful (since the thread actually exists).
