  1. Desktop client: improve startup and tray options

The desktop client lacks a proper option to start automatically with the system. I can add it manually to startup, but then the app opens normally instead of minimized.

It would be great to have these options:
    Start minimized.
Show or hide in the tray.
    Minimize to tray or taskbar.

This is essential because many devs end up with both tray and taskbar icons unnecessarily. I usually minimize to the taskbar, but when I close an app it still runs in the tray in the background.

Alternatively, please provide launch keys/flags so I can create my own startup shortcut with…

  2. Android App parity with web app - Especially for Email formatting (Bold, Colours, Underline etc)

I use the Android app for emails on both my Android phone and tablet. But I can't even put text in bold or use basic email formatting functionality. I have to log into the web browser to do that.

I also can't view emails or calendar horizontally. And have to log into the apps vertically too.

These are basic UI and functionality issues that need to be resolved before further enhancements.

Email templates would be ideal too.

  3. Set Proton Mail as default mail application on Windows

Make it possible for Proton Mail desktop application to be selected as the default email application so when you press email links it opens the Proton Mail app instead of the Windows one or the browser version.

  4. Integrate with lumo

Integrate email with Lumo and let our nice cat run some tagging or filtering for us. How nice would it be to have Lumo looking at us moving few emails to a label or folder and then have it saying: would you like to create a filter for this? or you have a filter for moving x in y, would you like to add this sender to this rule?

  5. Proper Calendar Event Invitations with Accept / Decline / Tentative

    Summary /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Add full support for standard calendar event invitations so recipients receive actionable event requests (Accept / Decline / Tentative) instead of a passive .ics attachment.

    Description /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

When adding participants to a Proton Calendar event, recipients currently receive an email containing an .ics file. However, this does not appear as a proper event invitation in many calendar clients and does not offer standard response options such as Accept, Decline, or Tentative.

As a result, the event is not treated as a true meeting request but rather as a file attachment, which significantly limits usability.

    Problems / Impact /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

  6. Address book with Android

Hello. I was wondering when you will address the issue of compatibility of the address book with Android. The philosophy linked to the replacement of invasive and tracking Google apps cannot ignore making your alternative apps available and contacts are an essential option. It seems to me that the request has been made for some time but nothing new under the sun. I understand other difficulties such as the inconsistency between the web and app versions of your products but, at least the use of the address book, seems to me to be something essential

  7. Easy to copy events in Proton Calendar.

I have to put my working shifts into my calendar. Those are similar times but unregular days.
It would be great to select the existing event - and then be able to select each day I want a copy of it.

  8. Proton Calendar: subscribe to private external calendar

At the moment, it is only possible to subscribe to public external calendars in Proton Calendar.
I would appreciate an option to subscribe to private calendars (served by Caldav and protected by username/password).
    Thank you for your consideration.

  9. .ics file import directly in the New Event dialog ;-)

I often have to import .ics files into my calendar. The current path to the function is multi-cklicks away. Why not add a button in the New Event dialog? That would be very handy :-)

  10. Dragging events in Android app

Being able to drag events to other time slots without needing to open the event and manually change the time would be great!

  11. Export function for Contacts

Please allow exporting contacts to .csv.

This would also enable advanced editing (e.g. export to .csv, edit in a spreadsheet program, and then import back).

  12. Proton Calendar: Travel Time for Events

Allow users to define optional travel time before and after an event. These times are shown as blocked in the calendar, while the core event duration remains unchanged. The calendar then reflects the true time commitment of the event.

  13. Using Proton Calendar for Better Daily and Meal Planning

I really appreciate how Proton Mail Calendar continues to improve usability and organization — having a reliable calendar that syncs across devices makes planning my day so much easier. I often schedule everything from work tasks to meal planning, and it’s handy to have reminders for everything.

On days when I’m planning out lunch or dinner with friends, having access to clear resources online makes that part of my schedule easier too. For example, when ordering takeout or deciding on group meals, I like to check out the Wingstop Menu to compare flavors, combos, and options before finalizing plans. If…

  14. Compact view

After seeing the new layout for the Android app, it looks like a good improvement, but there is something that I think is missing: a compact view. I do not nneed to see the attachments, a clip is enough. I do not need so big labels.
If space is used for sender and subject alone, more mails fit into the screen.

  18. Lock desktop app

It would be interesting to be able to lock the Proton Mail Windows application with a security code like the Proton Pass application, both manually and after a certain time, so that you do not have to constantly log out and log in

  19. Swipe to snooze email in mobile apps

Add "Snooze" as an option for the customizable swipe actions (either right or left). I'm glad snooze is finally in the mobile navigation, but it also needs to be added as an option for either swipe direction.
