1. Proton Mail & Calendar MCP Server

   Please add official MCP support for Proton Mail and Proton Calendar via remote streamable HTTP.

   This is becoming essential for anyone who uses AI agents for serious personal or professional work. I need trusted agents—whether Claude Enterprise with strong contractual protections today, or hopefully Lumo through MCP in the future—to be able to securely see, manage, search, summarize, and draft emails and calendar events on my behalf.

   For professionals and business customers, email and calendar are not side features. They are the operating system of work. If agents cannot access them, they cannot actually help with the workflows people pay for: preparing for meetings, tracking commitments, drafting replies, triaging inboxes, scheduling, following up, and coordinating across projects.

   Proton is well positioned to do this the right way: privacy-preserving, user-authorized, auditable, revocable, and scoped. MCP is a natural fit because it allows Proton to expose controlled capabilities without forcing users into unsafe scraping, unofficial bridges, browser hacks, or full-account access through less trustworthy tools.

   This is not just a power-user request. Business customers and professionals are increasingly going to expect their core productivity stack to work with agents. If Proton Mail and Calendar cannot participate in that ecosystem, Proton becomes harder to choose for serious work, even for people who strongly prefer Proton’s privacy model.

   Please support Proton Mail and Calendar as official MCP servers using remote streamable HTTP, with granular permissions for reading, searching, labeling, drafting, sending, calendar lookup, event creation, and event updates.

2. Offline mode for mobile

   Please allow the app to perform offline operations (read any and all inbox email, delete, write and send emails), which will be queued for syncing whenever online. Same for calendar events.

   As it is now, any email sending/deleting, calendar event creation etc will FAIL if the phone happens to be disconnecting from wifi, changing networks or any of the thousands of possibilities of a mobile device moving around at all times. Any other Android email client knows to queue these tasks offline (ie, gmail OUTBOX folder), and sync them with the server at any available time it manages to connect, or keep trying until it does (and not throwing a FAILED error, trashing all the text you wrote).

3. Add to Calendar option in the email context menu to quickly create events

   Dear Proton Mail Product Team,

   Thank you for the continued development of Proton Mail and Proton Calendar. Your commitment to privacy and user-centric features is greatly appreciated.

   I would like to request a feature that would streamline productivity and organization within the Proton ecosystem: the ability to add an email to Proton Calendar directly from the context menu in all apps.

   Specifically:
   • When right-clicking (or tapping the options menu) on an email in the inbox, or when viewing an open email, there should be an option to “Add to Calendar”
   • This action would create a new calendar event pre-filled with the email’s subject as the event title, and the email body or a link to it in the description
   • Optionally, it could detect and pre-fill suggested times or dates from the email content

   This small addition would greatly improve email-to-calendar workflows, helping users quickly convert information into actionable events without having to copy and paste manually.

   This kind of integration is increasingly expected in modern productivity tools and would help bring Proton’s suite closer to parity with major providers, while maintaining your superior privacy standards.

4. Group Alias or Shared Account

   Current Limitation: Currently, Proton Mail does not allow a single custom email address (alias) to be assigned to multiple user accounts within a Family or Duo plan. When an administrator creates an alias (e.g., info@myfamily.com or support@mybusiness.com), it can only be assigned to one specific user.

   This forces users into inefficient workarounds:

   Manual Forwarding: One person owns the alias and must set up filters to forward mail to others. This breaks the "shared inbox" experience, as replies come from the individual's address, not the group address, and there is no central view of the conversation history.
   No Collaboration: Multiple team members cannot log in to the same mailbox to manage tickets, customer inquiries, or family correspondence simultaneously.
   The Request: I am requesting the addition of a Native Group Alias or Shared Inbox feature for Proton Family and Proton for Business plans.

   Desired Functionality:

   Multi-User Assignment: Allow an administrator to create an alias (e.g., team@domain.com) and assign it to multiple user accounts simultaneously.
   Shared Inbox View: When any assigned user logs in, they should see emails sent to this alias in a dedicated folder or shared view, alongside their personal mail.
   Unified Sending: Allow any assigned user to "Send As" the group alias, ensuring replies come from the group address (e.g., team@domain.com) rather than the individual's personal address.
   Conversation Sync: Ensure that if User A replies to a thread, User B sees that reply in the shared view, maintaining a single conversation history.

5. One simple feature request

   A "Pin to Top" capability for emails would a great feature. It would be similar to the Star feature, except any email pinned to the top would stay at the top of the list no matter how the inbox is sorted. That way it doesn't scroll off the bottom of the screen.

6. adding docs directly from proton mail to proton drive

   It's good to have the option to add attachment docs directly from proton mail to proton drive using a simple click on the proton mail; since right now I have to download it on my computer or my tablet or my cellphone and then upload it into proton drive to review it, save it or even edit it (if it is docs or sheets).

7. Block off unavailable days across all booking pages

   Use case: I have multiple booking pages in Proton Cal. I am traveling out of town for 9 days. How do I quickly tell my booking pages to block off that 9 day period as unavailable? There's currently no way I can see how to turn off days other than creating events to block out that time.

   Booking all day events for 9 days would be annoying, and what if I go away for a month? Then I'd need to create 30 all day events? Would be good to have a button built into the calendar maybe close to booking pages to manage days you are unavailable. You'd click the button, a calendar view opens up, where you can toggle on or off days as unavailable days. You could also setup reoccurring unavailable windows (example: I'm unavailable every other week, or on the 25th day of every month, or every 3rd week of the month from tuesday to friday etc). The calendar view would communicate the global state of all available/unavailable days (for example: any unavailable days could have red circles around the date in the viewer).

9. Booking Links - Ability for people to cancel or rebook without having to email & other features

   This is a feature I am really struggling without after my move away from Google and thus Calendly.

   1. When people book with me using my booking link and need to change/reschedule or cancel - they need to email me. In Calendly there's a link generated in the calendar event itself that people can use to cancel or reschedule without having to email me. As it stands now, people need to email me to do either.

   2. Generally the booking link settings are super limiting. A few examples being: not being able to add buffers (I know there's an idea submitted here about that), not being able to embed the availability in my website to make it easier for potential clients to book time with me, and many other features

   3. When people book with me using a Google account, for example, when they look at their calendar event they only see themeselves as the organizer and only guest.

   This is a really big challenge for me. I am trying to figure out workarounds and want to stay with Proton but this is a big point of friction.

   This is a feature I am really struggling without after my move away from Google and thus Calendly.

12. Custom Calendar and Email Notification Sounds

    We really need to have the ability to customize the sound of the notifications in both Proton Calendar and Proton Mail. There’s currently no options at all in the apps for iOS/iPadOS so we’re left with just a ‘ding’ that very easily gets missed. For these apps to be useful we need to be able to tailor notification sounds (customize the default sounds for each app, set custom sounds for specific contacts, set custom sounds per event and/or calendar, etc.). 13. Paid XLS to VCF Converter vs Free tools - what is worth it?

    I often need to convert large Excel (XLS/XLSX) contact lists to VCF (vCard) files for use on multiple devices. I have come across both paid XLS to VCF converters and free online tools. I am confused about which option is really worth it. Are paid converters significantly better in terms of features, speed, and reliability? Or are free tools sufficient for most situations? I need something reliable for offline use, with batch processing and no risk of data loss.

14. Smart Autofill Suggestions for Event Titles & Locations

    I’d love to see Proton Calendar add smart autofill suggestions for event titles and locations based on previously created events, similar to how Google Calendar handles event creation.

    Example:

    If I previously created an event called:
    “Jake - Hanging out”

    Then the next time I create a new event and start typing:
    “Jake”

    Proton Calendar would automatically suggest:
    “Jake - Hanging out”

    If there are multiple past events starting with “Jake”, it could show a dropdown list of matching previous entries. The same functionality would also be very useful for the location field.

    Why this would help:
    • Keeps naming consistent across events
    • Makes calendars look cleaner and more organized
    • Speeds up event creation
    • Reduces repetitive typing
    • Improves usability for recurring social events, meetings, appointments, etc.

    Suggested behavior:
    • Suggestions appear only from the user’s own previously created events
    • Suggestions update as the user types
    • Selecting a suggestion autofills the full title or location
    • Optional toggle in settings for users who prefer manual entry only

    This would make Proton Calendar feel much faster and more refined for everyday use.

16. Time-tracking Calendar Integration

    One missing feature from the Proton Suite is a Time-tracking layer integrated in the Calendar app.

    It would be a handy feature to toogle on/off alongside your planned schedule, in order to track the real time invested in your projects, get records and overviews, and be able to learn from them and improve your workflow. All with the same level of privacy and encryption of the other features.

    Right now Proton users still depend on external apps to track their time, which don't integrate in the Proton ecosystem nor offer the same kind of data security. More on the contrary, multiplatform time-tracking sync apps are full of commercial trackers (pun very much intended) alongside security bugs.

    Also, If the Calendar app is indeed planning to allow to run it locally and asynchronized as an option, the Time-tracking layer could work the same way for those who don't want/need online sync between devices.

    I think there's a niche in the market for such (encrypted) feature, and it would be a point of attention for (small) businesses and independent entrepreneurs, while weighting on the idea of the Proton Suite above others.

17. Differentiate between "Unread" and "Unseen"

    Use case

    Most of the time I don't read/open every single E-Mail that comes in, but rather postpone the unimportant ones to later, while opening the ones that have urgency.

    Problem arises by the lack of differentiation; All the "old" unread E-Mails are bundled together with the new ones that came in, and it is a game of memory if it was "42" or "41" unread E-Mails the last time I checked.

    Proposal

    Make it obvious in the UI how many E-Mails are completely novel, and which are already seen, but not opened yet.

    1. Add a second counter to the Inbox-Panel on the left, e.g. "2 / 40". First number would be novel mails, second one all the seen but unread ones.
    2. Lessen the highlighting of mails that have already been seen in the past: They still should be highlighted, but lesser than the novel mails.

    Oftentimes, people who book appointments with me through Proton's Calendar Booking solution will forget about the appointment, and eventually not show up.
    It would be nice to have the possibility to send users who booked an appointment a reminder email, in order to avoid no-show.

19. To enhance Proton Calendar with a feature that automatically calculates ages for recurring birthday reminders, highlights milestone birthday

    User Story:

    As a Proton Calendar user,
    I want to add a person's date of birth for recurring birthday reminders,
    So that the calendar can automatically calculate and display the age they'll be turning each year,
    And I want the option to only show ages for milestone birthdays,
    So that I can easily recognize and prepare for these special occasions while maintaining privacy for regular birthdays.

    Prompt for creating an interface:
    Design a user interface for Proton Calendar that showcases the new birthday and milestone birthday features. The interface should include:

    A monthly calendar view with a few sample birthdays, including at least one milestone birthday.

    A "Add Birthday" form or modal that allows users to input:

    Name of the person
    Date of birth
    Option to set as a recurring annual event

    Birthday events on the calendar that display the person's name and the age they'll be turning (e.g., "John's Birthday (32)").
    A settings panel or modal where users can customize:

    Which birthdays are considered milestones (e.g., 10, 16, 21, 30, 40, 50, 60, etc.)
    Whether to display ages for all birthdays or only for milestone birthdays

    A pop-up or tooltip that appears when hovering over a birthday, showing additional information (e.g., "30th Birthday - Pearl Anniversary" for milestone birthdays).
    An option to set special reminders for milestone birthdays (e.g., remind 1 month in advance).
    A toggle switch in the birthday event details to enable/disable age display for individual contacts.

20. Archiving Calendars

    Would be great to be able to archive (or hide) calendars that are not useful anymore, while still being able to consult information that was recorded.

    For example, I had a calendar for my building's activities, meetings with other tenants, etc. but when I moved, it was not necessary for me to have that calendar in the side bar list (unticked, of course). Would be great to be able to hide this calendar from the list, and still be able to consult when needed.
