add pinning labels to top (under stared inbox)
allow pinning a label/folder to the top of the list (just under the starred inbox) for convenience of not having to scroll to the bottom for frequently used labels.

Readabality of the inbox
I'm coming from Chrome (i'm very happy to quit google!) and the first thing that came to my eyes is the bad readability of the inbox. I wish to be able to change the parameters of the font with more precision and not only have 2 or 3 global themes as dark, grey or white.
For exemple, the mails subject may be in bold and bigger to clearly see the sender. (sorry i don't know if the topic has already been discussed!)
Would it be possible to add this feature in the parameter screen?
Thank you ! :)5 votes -
Button to split and merge conversation - or fix it to be on par with Gmail
Feature request:
- Either fix the conversation view to be on-par with Gmail. (not just group by subject)
- Or a "split from conversation" or "merge into conversation" button to fix the conversations/emails I selected. I was hoping to help Proton learn with bigdata eventually, and resolve my immediate problem.
Problem example 1
- Conversation view enabled me to migrate from Gmail to Proton. I pay for it but it is still broken and not on-par.
- I have emails by different people/organisations being grouped because they have the same short subject.
- This likewise results in the carefully crafted labels that should be different,…

Ability to hide labels / tags
I would like the ability to hide and unhide specific labels/tags. Unused or infrequently used labels could be hidden until they are needed. This would allow users to use as many labels as they like without cluttering the sidebar and having too many labels appear along side each email item.

Family plan with 6 custom domains
It wouldn't be uncommon for a family seeking this type of service to require 6 individuals with personalized email domains, each having their own unique domain. The fact that the individual plan provides 3 custom domains for a single user leads me to believe that it would be reasonable to expect that in a plan for 6 users, each person could have at least one domain.

filters are impractical to work with with large number of emails
if I select "apply to existing messages", proton says: "Filters are being applied. This might take a few minutes." And if I select 'apply' again before the first 'apply' has finished, proton says: "Another action is currently in progress. Try again later." Naturally, I don't try again later, I move on to something else. As a result, if I come back the next day and scroll through my existing messages, what I see is not actually representative of my filters.
This frustration is compounded with the fact that filters cannot be previewed. If I have an 'apply' currently running, I…

Leave From Field Blank
Currently, the default email address is used to prepopulate the From field in the client. Since I communicate from various email addresses, it is now easy to forget to change that field and accidentally email a prior contact from an email they have not received before.
I propose to change that behavior to leave the From field blank, causing users to select the appropriate email address before sending it.
(Extra: if a user attempts to send an email without filling in the From field, then a popup asks us if we wish to use our default address or select a…

Let business customers add their logo to encrypted email notifications
At the moment the default email notification that is sent to non-Proton users receiving encrypted emails has the Proton logo at the top and contains an advert for Proton which is less than ideal for business customers. Allow the ability to use your own logo and write your own message and brand the portal in which the message is read too.

Conversation grouping bug
When messages share the same subject, they are grouped even if the senders are different.
This is annoying when we receive messages from a web contact form as they all come with the subject "website form question".

Save screen space when displaying proton email entries
Screen space is at a premium. I just migrated from gmail to proton mail plus desktop.
I would like to see more email entries displayed in all of the folders (inbox, spam, sent, trash, etc) by reducing the space between each entry. It seems that currently each email entry takes up a double space. Only when an attachment is present in the mail is the "second" line space used. Otherwise, the email entries are centered in a double-spaced row.

Separate notification management for Mail and Calendar on MacOS
I would like to have calendar notifications appear on-screen, but I don't want notifications for new emails. Currently there is no means, as far as I'm aware, of restricting notifications within the MacOS app to one or other of the services - it is currently all or nothing.

I want to see the email as I am typing out a response
It just opens to a new draft window in front of the email in the inbox, and because of that, I am not able to see the email, even the first full line to respond to it. Something like two separate columns or rows, where I can scroll and see the email I am responding to, without having to close the draft window each time. At least an optoin to resize the draft window.

Viewing area for composing needs to be larger
The viewing area for composing needs to be larger. There is not enough viewing area when composing a message. Either add the ability to pop out the composer into its own window, or give the user the ability to minimize the toolbar while composing.

Extension of maximum period for self-destruction feature to more than 730 days
Currently, it is only possible to activate the self-destruction for an email message for maximum period of 730 days. However, as a business user, due to the GPDR rules I have typically longer periods after which emails should be deleted, e.g. 10 years for payment-related emails.
Therefore, it would be great to extent the maximum period to 10 years for the self-destruction feature, so I don't have to re-visit the emails manually after the time has passed and delete them manually.
Additionally, as it is the case in Microsoft Outlook web app, it would be nice to add the option…

Time Format, option to display Timezone, option to change Timezone
In Language and time settings, a new format that also displays Timezone.
We can currently choose between
1:00pm
13:00but I would also like the option to have
13:00 (UTC+0)or more geneally custom formats if possible. This is relevant to me for converting emails to pdf format.
If my timezone is Europe/London, I expect the appropriate DST adjustments to be made too. (display summer times as BST, winter times as GMT)
I would also like to be able to choose timezone displayed, rather than it automatically be taken from my system.

Account switcher - the instant switch UI is best (signed in emails appear in dropdown)
As title. It keeps going back and forth. I much prefer being able to switch accounts with 2 clicks. (Not the "Switch or add account" flow that takes you back to the sign in page).
