Proper Birthday Age Tracking
Please change how Proton calendar birthdays work. Birthdays should store a birth date, not just a recurring event. Apple Calendar calculates and displays the age each year, for example “Anthony’s 22nd Birthday.” Proton should implement a dedicated Birthday field with a birth date you can set so the calendar automatically shows the correct age every year on the birthday.

UX costumization in Calendar
It would be great to be able to costumize the way we want to calendar app on Android.
I'm thinkin of :
- In monthly view, have a parameter that allows us to display the title of event on 2 or 3 lines, to be able to read it (Or to change the size of the title)
- In weekly view, same thing : for a full day event only 2 letters of the event are displayed...
- In weekly view : To have an option display the adress of the event : we have to check the event to…5 votes -
To Do List Section / To Do Item List Under Events
I feel each calendar entry should have a "to-do" option underneath the "description option". For example, if I had "Shopping" from 4-5:30pm, I could create a checklist of food and goods that I need. Or, if I was developing a website from 6pm to 8pm, I could mark down "Fix CSS bug, begin "About Us" page, begin to make site more responsive, deploy VPS" etc.
Or, if I created an all day event that occurs every day, I could use the to-do to mark off habits, kindof like a Notion productivity tracker. I.e. on the all day event, "Check email,…

Message threads should not include items in Trash
When I have put a message in the trash, I do not want to see it, and yet when I get another email from the same recipient, somehow, the message in trash is included and at the top there is a banner saying that the thread includes messages in trash.
Who thought this was a good idea? Just saying, I throw messages out for a reason, and that reason is not to see them again. At a minimum, adding a setting to omit deleted messages from a thread should be available.7 votes -
Resize New Message/Composer Window
Allow the user to resize and position the new message window. You can do this in Apple Mail. You resize and position it once and then it opens that way from then on. Composer/Normal is too small and too far to the right. Composer/Maximized is too big and too far to the left. Or add a third Composer medium/center option.
Also when you minimze the mail window the new message window should be there so you can more easily drag and drop photos and documents from your desktop into the message. (It works this way in Apple Mail.)

Searching email with multiple labels
I would like to be able to search for emails that meet multiple label criteria, e.g. Taxes label + <country> label, to find all tax related email threads for a specific country.

Modular "A La Carte" Pricing for Proton Mail Services
I am writing to suggest a more flexible subscription model for Proton Mail services.
Currently, the gap between individual "Plus" plans and the "Unlimited" tier is quite large. The Unlimited plan includes many features that I do not necessarily need, which makes the upgrade path feel inefficient for users with specific requirements.
I would like to propose a "Menu-style" or modular approach where users can add specific services to their existing plans at a discounted bundled rate.
For example, as a current Proton Pass Plus user ($2.99/mo), I would love the option to add Mail Plus ($3.99/mo) features for a…

Differentiate between "Unread" and "Unseen"
Use case
Most of the time I don't read/open every single E-Mail that comes in, but rather postpone the unimportant ones to later, while opening the ones that have urgency.
Problem arises by the lack of differentiation; All the "old" unread E-Mails are bundled together with the new ones that came in, and it is a game of memory if it was "42" or "41" unread E-Mails the last time I checked.
Proposal
Make it obvious in the UI how many E-Mails are completely novel, and which are already seen, but not opened yet.
- Add a second counter to the…

Route calendar invitations to the calendar associated with the recipient address
Route calendar invitations to the calendar associated with the recipient address
Currently, all incoming calendar invitations are added to the default calendar, regardless of which email address they were sent to.
Requested behaviour: Allow users to configure, per email address, which calendar should receive invitations sent to that address. This setting should live at the mailbox/identity level (e.g. in account settings under each address).
Use case: A user with a personal address (e.g. user@proton.me) and a custom-domain business address maintains separate personal and work calendars. Invitations sent to the personal address should land in the personal calendar; invitations sent…3 votes -

Simultaneous translation or email content translation.
It would be good to add the option to automatically or manually translate emails that are in another language.

Let fairemail client app configure your mail
It would be nice if you could just get it together with them as a email client application that just inherited the proton mail client so I could use all my emails on one application while I still keep the proton Mail app as well. Just wanted to let that expression out and don't expect you guys to listen but it's worth a shot.

Translate emails in foreign languages automatically
Add an option to automatically translate emails, especially those in languages like Dutch or Chinese (in general, languages the user does not understand).

Feature Request: Respect DMARC "p=reject" Policy for Custom Domains
I'm writing to suggest an improvement to Proton Mail's handling of DMARC policies. Currently, when an incoming email fails DMARC validation for a domain with a p=reject policy, Proton Mail always delivers it to the Spam folder instead of rejecting it at the SMTP level.
While I understand this "soft" approach prevents legit mail loss due to misconfiguration (as permitted by RFC 7489 Section 6), it also diminishes the security value of a "Reject" policy for domain owners who want to strictly prevent spoofing.
Proposed Phased Implementation:
Phase 1 (Internal Custom Domains): Exclusively allow Proton Mail Custom Domain From Addresses…

Search within move to
I use Proton Mail version 1.13.3 on my Mac, and it is easy to move emails into folders using the search function (Filter folders).
This feature is not available on the mobile app for iPhone and iPad; you have to scroll through the folders to get there.3 votes -
Self Destruct improvement - set number of days
The problem:
Since there is no mass self destruct option, it has to be done one by one, and setting a date and time value for each mail can be a hassle.A possible solution:
An option to set self destruct by number of days (possibly hours) would be a huge but easy improvement. If the UI remembered the last used day (or hour) value, it would be even better.

Bulk import/export of sieve filters
As a power-user I have extensive Sieve scripts that are split up into domains of functionality so that it is easier to manage and so that I can run smaller pieces of the larger filter set against my existing mailbox if that is necessary without it needing to run the whole filter.
I also keep them in version control and have a suite of tests that I run against them when making changes. When I'm done with implementing something new it is really frustrating to have to go to each one individually, copy the contents and paste them into the…

Mark 'Spam' as read
Emails automatically filtered to Spam should be marked as read - not to distract from actual unread emails. Even better, it should be a user-selectable option.

Proton Pass autofills username and password - Mismatched input field labels
If we visit a website that hasn’t implemented password and username input fields correctly (with incorrect labels), Proton doesn’t offer autofill.
A button with autofill would be great; it would populate the first input field with the username and the second with the password.4 votes -
Email List Archive
Users select authorized email subscription lists and assign a retention policy to them (quantity or age). Only messages that meet the requirements, for that email list identification (sender, directly addressed, subject, size, and combination thereof), are maintained in the mailbox and the rest are automatically deleted. This helps reduce clutter and consumption. ideally it is run on the server side on receipt but it could be a client side rule or even folders with rules or a combination of the client side rule and a folder retention policy..
