Support Email Security Gateways (ESG) the way Google and Microsoft do
Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 already support ESG on incoming and outgoing emails for years. More users and organizations are required to run a gateway nowadays.
What BOTH Google and Microsoft already provide:
1. Declare your gateway IPs as a trusted source.
2. Detect the last hop prior to the gateway (finding the real sender IP).
3. Reject anything that did not come through the gateway IPs.
4. Enforce TLS on the connection from the gateway.
5. Support routing outgoing emails through the gateway.I hope Proton can add support for these 5 features first. Thank you.

Why can't labels and folders have the same name?
Folders and labels have a different function and are stored separately. I might want to label emails and use a folder with the same name for the respective functionalities. It doesn't seem logical that they can't have the same name.
It's clear that I can add e.g. a prefix to one of these, but it's messy.

Allow mail filter rules to supercede spam rules
Currently received emails still arrive in Spam, even if there is a rule to delete them. This results in a cluttered Spam box. And Spam is something you need to check every few days to see if important emails were miscategorized.
Add a checkbox to mail filter rule settings that says it supercedes spam priority to prevent this problem. Gmail correctly does the mail filter rule check BEFORE the spam check, so emails arrive in the right place always.

Please add “Edit as new message” for Sent emails (and ideally other folders).
I often need to resend the same email to a different recipient. Today I must copy the body, start a new message, paste, and re-add attachments. Thunderbird’s “Edit as new message” does this in one click: new composer with subject, body, and attachments, but empty/editable recipients.
This would save time and reduce mistakes. If others request this too, please consider prioritizing it.

Include time on emails for yesterday in proton mail web
Please consider adding time to the mail list and mail details. Showing 'yesterday' at 09:05 the next morning does not give necessary information to you on when exactly the email was received. Knowing what time the previous day an email arrived is pretty important.
I understand why you may want to save screen real estate on the email list by not showing time (although there's a tonne of space anyway), but when you open an email it should really always show date and time rather than just yesterday.

Currently, all incoming calendar invitations are added to the default calendar, regardless of which email address they were sent to.
Requested behaviour: Allow users to configure, per email address, which calendar should receive invitations sent to that address. This setting should live at the mailbox/identity level (e.g. in account settings under each address).
Use case: A user with a personal address (e.g. user@proton.me) and a custom-domain business address maintains separate personal and work calendars. Invitations sent to the personal address should land in the personal calendar; invitations sent…4 votes -
customizable toolbar over emails
customize which functions appear on the toolbar at the top of received emails in Proton Mail. I should be able to choose which tool is more important for my needs. You would think that the print option should be visible and a redo or undo too as well. Labels and filters should be secondary and hidden instead.

Calendar: "Disable" instead of cancelling an event
Currently, the user is only able to delete an event in case it is cancelled. In such a case, the information about the canceled event is permanently lost.
Instead, I as a user would like to have an option to cancel or disable an event, but to keep in my calendar marked for instance by a strikethrough label. The disabled event might be deleted later.
Thus, the canceled event may remember the user of any further or future action or task.

Android App parity with web app - Especially for Email formatting (Bold, Colours, Underline etc)
I use the Android app for emails on both my Android phone and tablet. But I can't even put text in bold or use basic email formatting functionality. I have to log into the web browser to do that.
I also can't view emails or calendar horizontally. And have to log into the apps vertically too.
These are basic UI and functionality issues that need to be resolved before further enhancements.
Email templates would be ideal too.

Shared booking pages between users in an org
We need an ability for people to book meetings with multiple of our team-mates at once, rather than just one at a time. This requires taking into account both calendars/schedules and available times. This is crucial for being able to migrate away from Calendly + GSuite.

Contacts and calendar sync bridge for major platforms (iOS/Mac/Android/etc.)
I am a big fan of how seamlessly Tuta integrates contacts with my iPhone. I am currently trying out Proton as well as Tuta to decide which one to use for my emails in future. Why don't you develop a similar feature for contacts and calendars on the major platforms?
In the Apple ecosystem in particular, certain features could be used much more seamlessly if contacts and calendars were managed via the native interface.

Quick import .ics-file
Quick import .ics-files in the app, now you need to go to settings to import an appointment. It would be easier to just make an add button with an import function.

Open event location on mapping site/app (google, apple, open street maps)
Currently, the location icon and address data in a Proton Calendar appt. does nothing. It would be nice if clicking on it would open a map program such as Google Maps to get directions to appt.

Enforce Username Privacy via Primary Email Address Lockdown
As a Proton mail user,
I want all incoming mail sent to my primary Proton username (email address) to automatically bounce back to the sender as "undeliverable" (as if the account does not exists), unless the email originates from an official Proton mail domain,
So that I an keep my primary account username entirely hidden and free of clutter, forcing all external correspondence (i.e. everything except for official Proton correspondence) to go through my managed aliases or Proton Pass aliases*I understand I can have something similar by creating a custom Sieve with reject or discard, but it is not…

Add an option to copy link text
Add an option to copy the visible text of a link when right-clicking it.
This is useful because selecting anchor link is difficult or impossible.

Scan paper based event invites into Proton Calendar
In Proton calendar, a user should be able to scan any paper based event invitation (think wedding invite, graduation party notice, healthcare appointment, etc.) and automatically create a calendar event entry prepopulated with all the respective fields filled like title, time, location, etc.

sort inbox by oldest first and by sender in android
I would like to see options for the above in the Android app. I don't like threads, and want to be able to catch up with older information before reading newer email. I like that I can work that way in the Windows app, but get frustrated when using Android.

What happened to the mail notification counter for the task bar?
As i see, this question came up already, but the feature didn't return. A small counter number in the tas bar's icon would be nice again.
