  1. Inboxes per sender

    Make the password protected mails better. Give the users a conversation view (an inbox-like site) with all the mails they've gotten from me.
    Also, it happens too fast that the next mail you're responding with, you forget to set a password again. Please keep the same password on by default. Basically, just make the whole password protected mail feature like Tutas, I was really impressed when I tested it :)

  2. Reveal subfolders on hover (to allow for drag and drop)

    When all sub-folders are condensed under main-folder, for those us who use the INBOX as the main gate for all pertinent emails, a feature to drag-drop when we hover over a main-older, which then reveals all the sub-folders, we can drop into the sub-folder. This would not expand the hierarchy but all subs are still condensed under the main-folder

  3. draft opens in a new window for the proton mail desktop app.

    I'm a big fan of the desktop app so far, but one thing that would be a nice option to have is if the email draft opened in a new window. This would make it easier to draft an email since the draft isn't competing for space against the email I'm responding to.

  4. More detailed diagnostics for email domain configuration

    Proton has a nice tool for helping one configure DNS records to migrate an email domain to the Proton servers. However, the tool completely hides any details when something is not working correctly which makes it difficult to diagnose and resolve. If one uses the Refresh Status in the Domain names page, and some items show as being incorrect, one should be able to get the following details of what went wrong:
    1. The IP of the DNS server that was queried
    2. The response that was received
    3. The response that was expected
    Without these details it is difficult…

  5. SPAM BLOCKING by IP address range

    In addition to the current spam filtering options, it would be nice to be able to completely BLOCK receiving email from specific IP ranges. (Reject the message at the SMTP level.

    I have a list of about 60 /24's that only deliver spam to my inbox. Since many of them are controlled by spammers, they spew garbage with an endlessly rotating series of domains, so blocking by domain name is impossible. also, some of these sources operate out of several countries, so country based blocking would have too much collateral damage. (Also allow import and export of the blackslist vis…

  6. Adding a security layer for settings editing in Business plan

    Hi, first for the context : in order to prevent anyone from mistakenly changing the account password proton demand to type the old one to ensure that you are the admin of the account.
    This pop up window is important and should be for every other sensitive settings such as deleting domains, adding/deleting users to the organisation. I suggest adding this type of layer to prevent people from purposely or mistakenly editing any sensitive settings.
    Thank you

  8. Plus addressing

    As https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_address#Sub-addressing explains, permit +-symbol delimiter for a custom part of the address usable for differentiation of the origin without sending the mail to a different address. Outlook and Gmail support this.

  9. Make it easier to select email without opening it by mistake

    when checking an email to delete, too often it opens it and wastes time.
    fix so that a check is a check, and an open is clicking on the title, perhaps, but they should be distinct so non-ambiguous.

  10. Add an administrative comment for each address defined for a given user

    When one is creating addresses for proton users, it would be nice to have a comment field for each such address to indicate the usage/reason for the address.

  12. default

    A recent added web version requires the user to select an application - mail, calendar, drive, VPN, password vault. It would be nice to set a default application to bypass the selection process. I have link set to login to each of my accounts. Now, I have to select the mail app before proceeding.

  13. CSS: Darken the seperator in the e-mail overview window (Carbon theme)

    Hi,

    I often use Stylish as an extension to modify small things on web pages that I visit often, to change the CSS slightly.

    One thing that really bothered me in the dark theme on the web version is that the line separator between e-mails is slightly too bright. The high contrast made the e-mail subjects less pleasant to read, so I decided the darken it a little bit, still providing it's utility as a separator whilst also letting the subjects of each e-mail conversation be better readible, causing less eye-strain.

    CSS:

    .toolbar:not(.toolbar--in-container) {
    border-bottom: 1px solid #211e2d;
    }

    .border-top…

  14. Do not collect usage diagnostics by default (Mail Bridge)

    Proton Mail Bridge has a hidden (advanced) option called «Collect usage diagnostics» which is on by default. I think for an organization like Proton, this option should be disabled by default, even if this data is collected anonymously. Or at least it would be helpful to know what exactly is being collected.

    Thanks

  15. easier access to folder notification toggle and/or integration with iOS focus profiles

    My motivation for this post is I want an easy way to turn off and on notifications for specific folders at different times throughout the day, either manually or on an automated schedule. Im using iOS.

    A less than perfect improvement over the current situation, would be to simply make it easier for folder notifs to be toggled. Currently too many steps are required to toggle notifications for a folder. would be nice if the toggle switches were right there on the main interface so that toggling notifications for a folder was just a fast as tapping the folder to…

  17. Improved Folder Options

    I have two ideas that I think would be great:

    1) The folder automatically sees all the senders added to the folder and a new option (toggle) allows you to automatically add all of them to a rule that automatically sorts the senders into this folder (a check box could allow all current emails to be sorted in as well as all future emails) - this is automatically updated when a new sender is added to the folder. In settings, you can changed the settings for each folder > sender, for example to allow push notifications for a certain sender…

  18. Subnet and Port Whitelisting in ProtonVPN CLI or GUI version on Linux

    Feature Request Details:

    • Subnet Whitelisting: Allow users to specify one or more subnets that should bypass the VPN tunnel. This is particularly useful for local network devices or services that need to remain accessible while the VPN is active. For example, a command like protonvpn-cli whitelist add subnet 192.168.1.0/24 could be used to achieve this.

    • Port Whitelisting: Enable users to specify certain ports to bypass the VPN. This feature is beneficial for applications or services running on specific ports that require a direct internet connection or need to avoid VPN routing for optimal performance. An example command could be protonvpn-cli…

  19. The ability to mark all mesages in a folder to "read"

    When working as a systems engineer and utilizing outlook to store system error emails, I would utilize email folders as error email repositories. This way, you can easily see in real time which systems are failing, only one system, some systems, or all systems (OH SH*T!!).... When the issue was fixed, I would simply right-click on each folder and select "mark all as read". Wonderful feature. Now the folder shows 0 new messages, resetting it back to "normal" waiting for the next system SNAFU. Really wish you guys had this ability since marking as read page by page is a…

  20. Include at least the most known fonts from each of the Vox-ATypI classification's 11 fonts families along with a complete coloring palette

    I am grateful to Proton for offering everyone safe services who complement Mozilla Firefox to a charm and that both Mozilla & Proton stand to keep Internet as a free and safe shared world resource as its inventor Tim Berners-Lee wanted it to be and I am sincerely grateful for that, I donate to Mozilla sometimes and even have been pondering switching to a Proton Unlimited account to support them because they actually respect us their users and they protect us from greedy corporations and paranoid governments who want to know everything on everyone whereas they are the ones who…
