1. CHOOSE WHICH EMAIL ADDRESSESS ARE ABLE TO LOGIN

   additional emails:

Please allow to choose which of the email addresses are usable to login to the account.

This way, the user can keep the login email totally secret, and the "public" ones impossible to try to use to login.

2. Feature Request: Optional "Action PIN" for Sending or Permanently Deleting Emails (Desktop / Web)

I would like to propose an optional safety feature (opt-in) for the Proton Mail web app and desktop client: a user-defined Action PIN required before sensitive actions are performed, such as:

   • Sending an email
   • Permanently deleting emails (or emptying the Trash)
   • Accessing the contact list

   Why this is useful:
If a user temporarily leaves their computer unlocked in an office, shared space, internet cafe, or public area, anyone who walks by can currently send emails, permanently delete them, or access the contact list. An optional PIN would serve as a vital last line of defense against unauthorized physical access.

   How it could work:
   1. Opt-in Switch: Fully optional in Settings -> Security & Privacy, so it doesn't add friction for users who don't need it.
   2. Customizable Actions: Users can choose which actions require a PIN (e.g., only Permanent Delete, or both Send & Delete).
   3. Easy Reset: If the PIN is forgotten, it can be reset immediately by authenticating with the account password or 2FA.

This would be a great addition to physical security and user control for the Desktop/Web ecosystem!

3. Widget Monthly View

Currently an added benefit on that I see to the Google Calendar widget and Samsung Calendar, compared to the Proton Calendar, is an array of widget display options.

Currently, Proton Calendar only allows for an agenda-style view, which just lists in sequence what is going on. But it would be helpful to see your month at a glance without actually having to click into the app. Or, like the Samsung App, it gives you a month view and an agenda view side by side.

Giving users the ability to pick a style fits their use case will improve the number of users leveraging the widget, instead of only having a single option (take it or leave it) style.

5. Separation of Proton and Custom Domain Mailboxes

Currently, Proton email addresses and custom domain addresses share the same mailbox view, which mixes all emails together. This approach feels unintuitive and makes it harder to manage communication across different identities.

I would prefer the ability to separate custom domain email accounts from Proton accounts into distinct mailbox views (or “drawers”). While it’s possible to use filters and folders as a workaround, this requires manually duplicating structure (Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc.), which quickly leads to a cluttered sidebar and added maintenance overhead.

Would you consider introducing an option to define how email addresses are grouped within the interface? For example, allowing users to choose which addresses share a mailbox view and which remain fully separated.

This kind of flexibility would significantly improve usability, especially for users managing multiple identities or domains.

6. Bug: Cannot remove labels across multiple pages of results

When selecting multiple pages of results, I cannot remove a label from all of them.

   I have three labels, A and B, C.

I have 2000 emails, some tagged 'A', some 'B', some 'C', some a mix of all three.

I want to make sure that any labels tagged as 'A' are not also tagged 'C'.

I go to the page for 'A' and click 'Select all', the first 50 emails are selected.

   I click the labels button.

A, B, and C are all marked as - in the tri-state checkbox.

I click 'C' twice to unselect the checkbox and apply - 50 emails are now still marked as A, maybe still marked as B, and NOT marked as C

This works as expected. If however after clicking 'Select all' I then click the button to select ALL matching emails labelled A, not just the first 50, the tri-state checkbox will not let me deselect - I click once to tick, then when I click again it goes back to -.

This means that if I want to remove a label from multiple pages, I have to do it page by page.

It would be good if the tri-state selector worked the same way across multiple pages as it does for single pages.

   Thank you

7. Search text shifts when clicking into the search field, causing incorrect caret placement

After performing a search in Proton Mail, the search field displays a magnifying-glass icon before the search query.

If I then want to slightly modify the query — for example, change one character in robert — I click at a specific position inside the text to place the caret there or start selecting a character with the mouse.

However, as soon as the search field receives focus, the magnifying-glass icon disappears and the entire query shifts to the left.

As a result, the text moves underneath the mouse pointer during the click, so the caret is placed in a different position than the one I clicked.

   For example:
   1. Search for robert and press Enter.
   2. The results appear and the search field shows a magnifying-glass icon before robert.
   3. Click just before the letter o, intending to place the caret there or select that character.
   4. The icon disappears and robert shifts to the left.
   5. The caret ends up somewhere else in the word instead of at the clicked position.

This makes even very small edits to an existing search query unnecessarily frustrating, especially when trying to select a single character by clicking and dragging.

   Expected behavior:
Focusing the search field should not change the horizontal position of the existing query. Clicking at a specific character position should always place the caret exactly where the user clicked.

Possible solutions would be to keep the magnifying-glass icon visible while editing, reserve the same amount of space for it after focus, or otherwise prevent the text from shifting when the field changes state. Alternatively, if the icon is intended to indicate that the field represents an active search whose results are displayed below, it could be shown on the right side of the search field instead, so that its appearance or disappearance does not affect the position of the query text.

This violates the basic expectation that text should remain stationary while the user is positioning the caret with the mouse.

9. Send email to alias from any address of a user without whitelisting or improve whitelisting process

Currently it seems to be impossible to send email to existing alias contact address from email which is not owning the alias. It results in delivery failure email "Attempt to use your alias site.name.slush525@passmail.net from secondaryme@pm.me"

This is problematic, because while you are automatically suggested previously used alias email address inside the recipient field (TO) of a new email form (that is GOOD), you do not remember which address of yours owns that alias in order to bother selecting it in the FROM field.

IMO Proton should automatically use correct FROM address on the background without failing with delivery failure email "Attempt to use your alias site.name.slush525@passmail.net from secondaryme@pm.me".

That email has a whitelist button while the email contains no assurance to the user that the whitelisted address will not be disclosed to the recipient, that they will just see alias as a sender.

------------ Detailed description/context and proposal if needed: ----------------

Inside Pass I have created new contact for one of my aliases, so i can email from this alias.

Then in Mail desktop app 1.13.3 used that generated contact address as a recipient of a new email while as a sender, i have NOT used my main Proton address (first one i have used to register proton account), but my secondary address secondaryhere@pm.me which i have recently set as my display one in Settings > Identity and addresses.

Result is a delivery failure email:

   "

An attempt to send an email from your alias a.b.c@passmail.net using secondaryhere@pm.me is blocked.

As a measure to protect against email spoofing, we have blocked an attempt to send an email from your alias a.b.c@passmail.net using secondaryhere@pm.me.

Please note that sending from this alias only works from alias's owning mailboxes, that are mymainaddress@proton.me

If secondaryhere@pm.me can indeed send emails from your alias, you can add it to the allow list:

   [Allow secondaryhere@pm.me]

   "

last line is a button which i have clicked and on a webpage https://app.simplelogin.io/dashboard/mailbox/numberhere/ it shows my main proton email address entitled "Change Mailbox Address".

Why this is confusing? I wanted to allow my secondary address to send emails from aliases which were made for my main address, while obviously wanting to hide the fact the sender is my secondaryhere@pm.me and ensuring that recipient sees just correct alias.

I would expect that Proton would automatically allow sending from any address of mine while ensuring email will be sent anonymously (having alias address as a sender).

   Ideas for improvement:

   A) Automatically allow sending email no matter which sender address is selected, ensuring recipient sees just correct alias.
   B) Allow user to manually whitelist address using email that I have received, but the
   - allow button inside mine mentioned delivery failure email, should end up on a webpage which more relevantly explains whitelisting instead of vague "Change Mailbox Address" title and no explanation of impact.
   - clarify text of mine mentioned email so it is apparent what means to whitelist address, allowing it to send from alias of my main address. What to clarify: for example i want to be ensured that by whitelisting, none of my email addresses will be disclosed to the recipient, but only alias as a sender.

Currently it seems to be impossible to send email to existing alias contact address from email which is not owning the alias. It results in delivery failure email "Attempt to use your alias site.name.slush525@passmail.net from secondaryme@pm.me"

11. Make Proton Scribe writing assistant availalbe to those with Unlimited accounts

I believed Proton as an organization not profit driven. Why have you made the new 'Proton Scribe writing assistant' only available to the higher cost accounts and not those those users who use the 'Unlimited account' which by definition I would have thought was just that 'Unlimited'? I have been a loyal supporter of Proton mail for many years, and I don't need a 'Duo'/Family' account as I am the only one who uses Proton, Why am I being disadvantaged? Can you please consider making this option available to 'Unlimited Account' holders as well.

I would like to see Proton Calendar make significant progress in a few areas:
1/ The ability to choose the scheduling window: currently, when creating a booking page, there is no end date—only a notice period. I want to be able to set an end date or a time limit (i.e., preventing clients from booking beyond a specific date or more than X days out). Right now, the only options are "How far in advance can bookings be made?" and "Add a notice period"; we need to add "Until when can a client book? Add a date / or / Add a time limit."
2/ The ability to ask clients questions, similar to Calendly (supporting up to 10 questions).
3/ Much faster synchronization with Google Calendar—not 24 hours, but a maximum of 1 hour.

15. How can I repair a corrupted OST file without losing Outlook data?

To repair a corrupted OST file without losing Outlook data, first create a backup copy of the original OST file and avoid making changes to it. If Outlook can still access the mailbox, allow it to synchronize completely with the Exchange or Microsoft 365 server. For severely corrupted, inaccessible, or orphaned OST files, a dedicated recovery solution can extract the available mailbox data safely. Aryson OST Recovery can scan corrupted or damaged OST files using Standard, Advanced, or Deep recovery modes and preview recovered emails, contacts, calendars, tasks, journals, and attachments before saving them. According to the provided source, the recovered data can be exported to PST, EML, MSG, MBOX, DBX, or Archive formats while maintaining the folder hierarchy. The tool also supports encrypted and oversized OST files. This approach lets you preview the recoverable data first and save the required Outlook items without modifying the original corrupted OST file.

18. Create a mail client for Proton and other emails

I have a few email addresses in use for different purposes and contexts, some of them are more than a decade old, and I don’t think I can close them up completely.
For example, I have an email on a server of an NGO I am working for, alongside my personal gmail used for Google services and an old personal yahoo, and a couple addresses associated with some apps that I’ve authored.
I’d like to use some of them alongside Proton email addresses. Since I can’t add proton to Mail.app, I need another mail client where I can have my proton email alongside other mail addresses.

19. Option to automatically turn off VPN when connecting to Apple Carplay

Apple Carplay doesn't work when VPN is connected. As far as I'm aware, this is not a problem with the VPN, but with how Carplay fundamentally works. It would be nice to have a toggle in the settings to automatically disconnect from VPN when connecting to Apple Carplay. Otherwise, I have to remember to turn off my VPN every time I get into my car.
