Allow sending calendar invitations to your own Proton addresses/aliases
Proton Calendar prevents users from inviting their own Proton addresses or aliases to events, even when those addresses belong to different calendars.
If I try to invite one of my own Proton aliases (e.g., personal@example.com) to an event created in a different calendar that I also own (e.g., a shared team calendar), Proton blocks the invitation. Inviting my own addresses should be allowed when the invited address is not the owner of the originating calendar.
Why this matters?
Users with multiple Proton calendars cannot keep their schedules in sync, reducing the convenience of shared calendars.
For example, I have:
- a shared “Product team” calendar owned by product@example.com
- a personal work calendar owned by personal@example.comIf an event is created in the shared calendar and personal@example.com is invited, it should block that time in my personal calendar.

Reading mode for email body with the ability to choose font size and background color would have been fantastic.

hover shows actual email address
Proton Mail used to display the email address of the sender when hovering over the sender's name in a list. This features seems to have disappeared !
It is especially useful when an email appears which could be spam with a faked FROM name to show the FROM address. Then you can see Amazon / Ebay/ PayPal / YourBank is actually lyingthievingspammer@123456.co.jp or whatever.Another post mentions similar about links.
This is a really useful feature.
Bring it back ! Pleeeeease !2 votes -

When opening a mail item, that has multiples of the same email, open the newest one by default
Currently when you open an email, it doesn't open the newest one, but one of the other ones instead.

Easy Switch has been running and blocking client UI for 2 hours. This should be a background task that doesn't block the UI.
Easy Switch is great - easy migration from Outlook, Google, etc. It's a classic playbook for a disrupter to make it super easy to migrate from the existing solutions. However the implementation seems to be running this client side and the effect is that a modal dialog has been up for nearly 2 hours as it migrates data. Anything taking longer than a minute or so should probably be a background task rather than blocking UI.

Alternating row color in inbox
Also known as zebra stripes. Title says it all. Looking to see where I can enable interchanging the background row colors between two colors (white and grey).
Simple theme change to help with readability or accessibility. Pretty commonly implement in many operating systems and other products.

Turn newsletters into RSS feeds
I really enjoy the new newsletter menu! A neat feature for this would be the ability to turn those newsletters into RSS feeds, so I can then easily read my newsletters in my favourite RSS reader.
This is my idea how that could be implemented:
There's a button to generate a dedicated alias that I can use to subscribe to a newsletter (similar to aliases for generating log in details in Proton Pass). Instead of landing in my inbox, the mails arrive in the feed. As soon as that alias was generated I also get a link that I can easily paste into my RSS reader. That feature would not just de-clutter my inbox, but also creates more flexible ways to read and manage newsletters.

Edit/add participants on existing events
I received a booking email and Proton offered me to add the event to my calendar. Once it was created, I wanted to add participants, which seems to be not possible. It would be great to be able to edit the participants list on existing events, without having to create another one.

reconcile differences between proton contacts and google contacts
I have used the import feature to bring contacts from google contacts into proton contacts. I still need google contacts for phone calls, however. The issue is that when a contact changes, I have to update both locations.
I'd like to suggest adding a reconcile differences feature that could compare the 2 contact lists, and allow the user to merge/edit differences.

move messages from Trash to inbox
There are times, albeit rarely, that I accidentally move a message to the trash. I found out today that I cannot move a message from the Trash to the inbox. It would be nice if that were possible. I'm human, I make mistakes.

Bring Web App Themes to Mobile Apps
This could be a relatively simple update for Proton - I'd love to see more themes and customizations within the mobile apps. The web app has great themes and it'd be great to bring these over to the mobile apps. Right now, the mobile app themes are a little bit plain. It would be nice to be able to switch it up!

Allow Sieve to filter email based on IP address (improve spam filter)
There are many emails that are clearly malicious, DKIM=none and DMARC=none, and the source IPs are listed on Spamhaus and AbuseIPDB. It would be great if Proton can immediately discard those emails, whether automatically or manually by using Sieve filter.
