  1. Cross-account notification for desktop app

When you have multiple accounts on the desktop app, you only get notified of new emails from the account you have currently open.

Could it be possible to receive also notification for the other accounts you have logged in?

  2. Add a drop-down list to select the year when creating a new event or editing an existing one

Adding an event that is far in the future is not easy in Calendar. Adding a drop-down list to select the year would be a HUGE IMPROVEMENT.

    Merci!

  3. email sweep

Microsoft's Outlook email app has a feature called "Sweep," which allows one to highlight an email, and then take action on and set up a rule for all emails from that sender.

    Options include:

Move all messages from the Inbox folder
Move all messages from the Inbox folder and any future messages
Always keep the latest message and move the rest from the inbox folder
Always move messages older than ten days from the inbox folder

The default destination is "Deleted Items." Other options include:
    Junk Email
    Inbox
    Archive
or any other folder the user chooses or creates.

    It is…

  4. set time zone manually

Proton mail uses the browser time zone for all events and there is not a way to set it manually. I use Librewolf to minimize browser fingerprinting and one of it's features (which is not easy to turn off separately) is that is displays the time zone to websites as Zulu / GMT, instead of local time. This means that calendar events come in with a time shift displayed in email. They are correct in the calendar since Calendar allows you to set the time in the top bar.

  5. Sticky behavior for tags/labels for priority sorting (e.g., in Inbox)...

Create an option to make a tag/label "sticky". Or, option to make all messages with a specific custom tag(s)/label(s) sticky in the Inbox and other folders. Starred doesn't quite do it, as you cannot set that as a sort condition. Sticky custom tag/label would be more precise and flexible than 'starred', because one might 'star' a message for multiple reasons.

And/or, option to set a tag or folder as the default view, upon application loading.

Use case: tag "needs followup" or "to do" as default view so that user sees that first thing.

Note: 'Sticking' meaning that they appear prioritized…

  6. Ability to view what core program tasks are in-process

I'm a software developer, and I think of the application of filter rules as core program in-process tasks. The filter is something user-defined, but the invocation and application of that filter is a task enacted by the actual program. Having the ability to view when a core program task is in-process would be beneficial. For example: if I import email from an unsupported client, that could be viewed as a task in an in-program task manager queue; after importing, if I create a filter to send all mail from joe@schmoe.com to my Trash folder and choose to apply it to…

  7. Improve efficiency of viewing emails, better utilize dead space

On the iPad, if i have a lot of unread emails, it's a lot faster to go through them efficiently in Apple Mail than in Proton Mail because of the main screen format. 1: Showing the email list on the left side (with the option to show 2-3 lines of content), and 2: showing the selected email's full content on the right hand side, allows you to quickly see each email, then delete or move on to the next email without ever having to leave the main screen.

  8. Search field in labels for proton mail – mobile app

When adding label(s) on a message in the Proton Mail Mobile APP (in my case iOS) it is no search field available. With many labels you have to “scroll” thru an extensive list, and would be easier if you could “drag down” in the labels-list and a search field appeared.

  9. family/duo plan and domain name shared

Family tree are not only 6 persons. It would be kind to share my family domain with others members of my family. Today I have subscribed to a family plan for my chidren and wife but my brothers's family and sisters's family could not use the same domain name (which is our family name) with proton plan. It is the same for my parents if they subscribed to a duo plan they can't use this domain with proton. Else business plan are to expensive for individuals and families.

Because of this fact, all could not migrate to proton as main…

  11. Please add Biometric unlock to Calendar

Please add Biometric (fingerprint) unlock to calendar (and Lumo), it and Lumo seem to be the only Proton apps that do not have this feature.

  12. Dedicated Proton Calendar App for MacOS

Instead of using the proton mail app for calendar, have a dedicated proton calendar app for macOS.

In the meantime, or if this is not something Proton wants to pursue, I would appreciate a couple of changes to the proton mail app:
I would like to be able to pick which is the default view when the app is launched to calendar instead of mail.

I would also like to be able to two finger swipe left or right to be able to scroll back and forth between different weeks or months or days instead of just having the arrow…

  13. Resizable folders panel in Column layout

On desktop and web, when using Column layout, I can resize the messages list vs. the opened message, but I can’t resize the left folders panel (Inbox, Trash, etc.). Please add an option to resize that panel too.

For me it’s way too wide, and making it smaller would give more space to the message view, which is more useful.

  14. Easily move recurring events (including birthdays) between calendars

Currently, managing recurring events, such as annual birthdays or weekly meetings, requires a complex process of recreation if the user wishes to change which calendar they belong to (e.g., moving an event from a 'Personal' calendar to a 'Family' or 'Work' calendar).

Please implement a simple 'move to' function for recurring events that transfers the entire series to the new calendar. This would streamline organization and data management within the Proton ecosystem, improving the user experience significantly."

  16. Recurring event options

Would it be possible to add options to schedule events relative to other events? e.g. schedule a recurring event to be one week before other event X.
Or to schedule recurring events based on how many weeks before the end of the month?

I have a recurring event that is always on the last Thursday of the month, and a related event that is the Tuesday in the week before. I can schedule an event on the last Thursday, but for the second event I cannot get it to schedule correctly. I can put the third Thursday, but that doesn't…

  17. Sort newsletters from Z to A (reverse alphabetical order)

Currently, the newsletter view provides the following sorting options: Least read, Most read, Most frequent, From A to Z, Recently read, Recently received. My idea is very simple: add a "From Z to A" option. Because why not.

  18. Calendar: Variables for dynamic titles

    Provide variables for dynamic titles.

    Allowing to do things like:

    • Day {num:0}/{num_events}Day 07/15 (:0 = leading zeroes according to num_events)
    • S{year_num:2}E{yearly_num:2}S02E03
    • {year}#{yearly_num}2026#4 ({year:2}26)

  19. Allow sending calendar invitations to your own Proton addresses/aliases

Proton Calendar prevents users from inviting their own Proton addresses or aliases to events, even when those addresses belong to different calendars.

If I try to invite one of my own Proton aliases (e.g., personal@example.com) to an event created in a different calendar that I also own (e.g., a shared team calendar), Proton blocks the invitation. Inviting my own addresses should be allowed when the invited address is not the owner of the originating calendar.

    Why this matters?

Users with multiple Proton calendars cannot keep their schedules in sync, reducing the convenience of shared calendars.

    For example, I have:…

  20. Advanced PGP Key Management for Proton Mail Users

    Description

Currently, Proton Mail allows users to manually add PGP public keys to external addresses only.

This creates several limitations for users with more complex encryption setups or personal key hierarchies.

    Problem 1: Limited Manual Control

Users cannot manually specify whether an email should be:

    • Signed only
    • Encrypted only
    • Signed and encrypted

Instead, Proton Mail enforces a fixed default behavior per contact.

If a user wishes to change how messages are sent, they must manually adjust the contact’s encryption settings each time.

This slows down workflows and complicates secure communication.

Problem 2: External Keys for Proton Addresses

    Some Proton users…
