Android Widget
A widget for Proton VPN on Android would be nice. The ability to turn on/off the last connection profile would be the main purpose of the widget. So if you selected Fastest, it would search for the fastest server again. But if you selected a country it would only pick from that country again. And if you picked a specific server, it would try to use that server again. Same idea for Secure Core, P2P, and Tor.

carplay without disable kill switch
Having kill switch is critical on my VPN as Apple does not drop connections.
When I want to use Apple Maps,I need to be able to get in my car without the faff and security/privacy risks of disabling the kill switch just to use CarPlay.
Also having more faff and CRITICALLY having to remember to re-enable it at destination makes this simply too painful to use

Can't you make it in the VPN Linux client so that the last country selection, or a selection of the countries at the top, is the one you use
Can't you make it in the VPN Linux client so that the last country selection, or a selection of the countries at the top, is the one you use often, so that you don't always have to search.

Add favorite servers option in Android app
I'd love to see an option to add favorite servers that I frequently use in the Android app. You can already do this in the desktop Linux app which is quite barebones overall compared to other platforms. But I love this feature and use it a lot.

Censorship resistance
Mullvad VPN uses Wireguard obfuscation (UDP2TCP). IVPN on iOS uses V2RAY. Those protocols allows to reliably bypass censorship. Proton on the other hand only has Stealth, which is unreliable and often disconnects.
Request : Add a censorship-resitant technology such as V2RAY or UPD-over-TCP.

VPN on/off widget for iOS 17
It would be great if we could have a regular widget with on/off and pause option. It would be very practical compared to having to open the app every time you want to perform any of those actions.

Eigener VPN-Server
Möglichkeit einen eigenen VPN-Server zu hinterlegen, auf den verbunden werden kann. Beispielsweise mittels Wireguard auf den Firmenrouter zu verbinden, um auf das Firmennetzwerk zuzugreifen.

Access Proton Mail via Proton VPN website
When logged into the Proton VPN website, it'd be nice if there was an option to access or go to that account's Proton Mail website. They share the same email address and are under the same account, but why can't I go to Proton Mail from Proton VPN? It kinda seems like a no-brainer to me.

Site to Site IKEv2/IPSEC support
The Proton infrastructure should make available Site to Site IKEv2/IPSEC VPN tunnels so that users with enterprise grade firewalls can establish site to site VPNs with Proton.
This should be done with multiple peers, paths and support Dead Peer Detection and Tunnel monitoring.
This would allow users to set up multi-VPN gateways with high resilience so that all traffic from a site is securely encrypted to Proton.

Glasswire firewall with Proton VPN integration
Add a Super firewall like (Glasswire) to proton VPN. This would be especially helpful for android users where you can only have one VPN working at any given time. And Glasswire requires one of those So then you couldn't have Proton VPN running at the same time. Adding this feature will also help reduce transmitted data over cellphone and any data line...

Feature to manage connected vpn clients
Having a Web based connection/client management page would help monitor, authorise, link/unlink vpn clients.
Details:
Since my plan supports multiple connections, I use it across multiple devices of mine and that includes my wife's iPad. What I find uncomfortable currently is that there's no way to manage the different connected clients from say, a Web portal.
So in this particular instance, I need to install proton vpn on my wife's iPad using my proton master password. That's uncomfortable and feels potentially unsecure.
In another use case, being able to remotely unlink a legacy device (for example an old iPad or…

Automatic Profile Switching
I would like to have an option for Proton VPN to detect that I launch a game and thus automatically switch my VPN profile to "Gaming" (just an example name). And once I finish gaming, it should switch back to 'Default' profile.
Is it even possible to tie 'NAT' and 'Port Forwarding' options to a Profile?
This would be helpful so that I do not forget about the switching. I play online games and I would need a profile that has Moderate NAT enabled and perhaps Port Forwarding. Outside of gaming, I do not need those.
This 'context detection' should…
