  1. ⭐️ API For Accessing Wireguard Configurations

For power users like myself, an API like this would be an absolute game-changer.

It would allow users to build 3rd party apps reliant on Proton VPN, and add additional flexibility.

Personally, I've been wanting a powerful rule-based routing solution, and to be able to dynamically switch servers via an API (as opposed to manually downloading configurations for each individual server) would be an absolute godsend!

  2. Provide option to force all previously logged in apps to require logging in again (prevent re-use on public pc)

If we use your VPN on locations we do not control and forget to log them out, we don't want people on shared computers we've forgotten to log out on using our concurrent connections. A simple option in the settings on the website is all it takes "Force all previously logged in apps to log in again".

Basically you just need to void the logged in sessions so that they need to authenticate again. That way, colleagues on past shared access computers, other people in hotels and hostals cannot use our connections up.

  3. new server location

I would very much welcome it if “PARAGUAY” could be included in the VPN sites

  4. SASE / ZTNA

Secure Access Service Edge / Zero Trust Network Access

An option to configure Site-to-Site Proton VPN to my home firewall and allow individual users access to specific applications to my NAS or camera server.
Or use home firewall as a "Private" VPN server target.

  5. Timer for the random Vpn

I would like to see the possibility to use the random Vpn option as a default one, with a timer to change the location constantly. I often use my devices for long period without setting them off, and time to time I change the server or the location for better privacy. But it would be nice to be able to set this automatically.

  6. Random wireguard servers

with openvpn, a country configuration file has remote-random, which chooses a random server each time OpenVPN client restarts. But wireguard configuration files do not have this, same server is used which reduces privacy.

A good way to do this could be to have an endpoint that redirects traffic to a random wireguard VPN server (as wireguard does not have remote-random equivalent)

  7. Sync Profiles across devices

I really like the way profiles work on the android app and it would be great if it worked the same way on windows and they would be synced across all devices

  8. Allow Screen Mirroring with active VPN

As a MacBook User I would like to stay connected to Proton VPN and use Screen Mirroring. Works with NordVPN, does not work with Proton VPN.

  9. App Tracking Protection

Duck Duck Go provides an app that allows for app tracking protection on Android. It stops apps and tracking engines on your phone from sending personal data. It also tracks what apps and info is attempting to be sent. The problem is, it runs as a VPN, and Android cant run 2 VPNs.

If this was incorporated into Proton VPN it would be a massive leap forward for internal and external tracking protection. If you had it for Windows and IOS it would also be incredible.

  11. Business Plan Company

The only thing you need to know about your business is what I just stated in the title. This is especially important if you are in the UK and want to launch your company. You must always concentrate on the correct UK business plan Company, regardless of whether it is a small business plan UK or something else; you simply need to put it on paper!

  12. Filter by feature e.g IPv6, TOR, smart routing, P2P, streaming etc.

We should be able to filter servers by features (multi-select) e.g IPv6, TOR, smart routing, P2P, streaming etc.

  13. Port Forwarding, and/or uPnP, through (i.e. Pfsense or router gateway as client) Wireguard to client PC(s)

For connections initiated with a standard Wireguard client (instead of a Proton App, since PfSense runs on FreeBSD).

Need PfSense Port Forwarding supported; and that is without needing to log into PfSense and constantly update to a new port number.

  15. All desktop proton apps, including mail, disk, and vpn, should be protected with a passphrase, just like on mobile devices!

Currently, your computer can be hacked, you know nothing about it, and yet your most precious things are all exposed for the want of this single, simple pin-access feature in all Proton desktop apps!

Guys, that's the basic security, isn't it? Major secure chat communicators have it - telegram has it, session has it, why Proton doesn't have it?! It's high time to implement it! I would suggest starting from proton mail and proton disk as the most critical-data from the user security standpoint.

  16. Support for LibreELEC (either an addon for Kodi or a comprehensive guide to set up OpenVPN on it)

A thing that I really, really would like to have is the possibility to use Proton VPN on my Raspberry Pi 5 with LibreELEC on it.

After downloading the Zomboided addon for Kodi ( https://github.com/Zomboided/service.vpn.manager ) and using a script to solve the missing update-resolv-conf issue ( https://github.com/RamSailopal/resolvconf ), I managed to connect to your paid servers with my credentials, but while the IP address is ok I still get a DNS leak and I don't know how to fix it. I tried various things but nothing worked yet.

The best solution would be a Kodi Proton VPN add-on or…

  17. Possibility to make the login server inside the country where the client is located.

I and my friend from Russia conducted an experiment and found out that connecting to the Proton VPN server in Russia, the connection is practically not blocked, works stably. But if you try to connect to servers not in Russia, the connection is very unstable. Let me specify, during the experiment only Stealth protocol was used.

  19. Techniques for Circumventing Deep Packet Inspection (DPI)

    Techniques for Circumventing DPI

Several techniques can be used to evade DPI. These strategies focus on confusing the DPI system or breaking its detection algorithms. Common methods include packet fragmentation, protocol obfuscation, injection of fake packets, and manipulation of Time-to-Live (TTL) values. Each method’s theory and practical application are discussed below.
