Apple TV app
Buried in Apple's tvOS 17 announcement is support for 3rd party VPN apps on tvOS. It would be amazing if Proton VPN had a tvOS app.
Hi everyone, the Apple TV app is here! https://protonvpn.com/blog/apple-tv-app

It’s about time to get a tvOS app, since all competition to Proton is already there! Please accelerate development for those paid users :)

Amen. The moment I realized my TV had a VPN feature, I searched the App Store for ProtonVPN.

Happy ProtonVPN customer here, this is a massively important feature for use. I've already looked at other VPN vendors such as IP Varnish who now support tvOS 17.
As this is new, I will give Proton time to announce/update the public on tvOS but if there's no movement come my renewal in late 2024 I will consider other platforms.

Is there a status on that?

With VPN nows now appearing for AppleTV OS 17, can we please get a ProtonVPN app for AppleTV?

Since Apple tvOS 17 supports now 3rd party VPN apps, it would be great if Proton could port the iOS app to tvOS. That would make my life much easier when it comes to access geo-blocked content.
Thank you! -

if you support Apple TV, please make the documentation discoverable on your site. I suspect you do not support Apple TV, please make that clear on your site as well and consider supporting it.

AndroidTV has the ability to use the ProtonVPN application, so when or will we see the same for AppleTV?

Invizbox pre-configured for ProtonVPN does exactly this. It has up to 4 preselected VPN servers, so you can switch countries easily. Came across this product in one of Proton how-to sections, so I assume it is safe (or am I being naive?). Have been using it for the last six months, is 100% reliable.

We use Apple TV for virtually all videos from a variety of sources such as Amazon Prime, Plex, Tubi, DW, NHK, France24, youtube, etc.
We always use Proton VPN (P-VPN) on our other Apple equipment: iPhones, iPads, Macs, etc
Would like to stay safe with P-VPN during all viewing.
Can you consider incorporating this as a feature in a upcoming release? We have found directions to alter the DNS in the Apple TV but they don't seem to work and we don't trust anybody on youtube.
We would not use a "flashed router" that claims to have P-VPN.
Thank you for your consideration.
(If this feature already exists please direct us to the installation instructions.) -

When my laptop is connected to Invizbox 2 via the US, I can play Netflix, Hulu, and HBO videos in the US without problems. When I try to do the same with my AppleTV, it does not work. Enabling this feature would be great and I think more people would adopt ProtonVPN and Invizbox.
