I also don't see this feature on Android. Only App or IP Address.

Like Andreas below, I also can't see the implementation of this feature on my Windows 11 machine. Trying to identify and list all the IP addresses used by (e.g.) my bank makes it impractical to use split tunnelling.

Is this feature really implemented and the request finished ?
I can't see that domain names are accepted and possible entries neither in Android nor Windows apps.

E.g., paramountplus.com has dozens of IP addresses. Manually finding and trying to maintain all of them (even if the platform could handle that many) would be a nightmare. So it's not very useful as it is, with just IP addresses.

Adding one more yes for this. This is my number one needed feature, for the reasons others have mentioned. I know you can add domain names to the browser extension, but my understanding is that the extension's security is worse than the application's, plus I'd rather just manage my connection from one place (the desktop app) as opposed to the app + a browser extension.

Allow to temporarily split-tunnel an app/IP/domain.

This would be especially helpful on mobile when I need to access specific websites or apps that block VPN IPs, but only for a short while.

At present, I either split-tunnel the app and remember to remove it, or disable VPN and disable the "block connections without VPN" toggle in system settings. Neither is great from a privacy standpoint, but even though the latter is objectively worse, I still end up doing it because it's so much quicker to leave the toggle off, hit the tile to disable VPN, do my business, and turn on VPN again.

Upvoting this, it would be really useful to exclude domains and subdomains from using Proton VPN. Some apps don't play well with VPNs at all so I need to disconnect my VPN entirely if I want to use them.

i've asked the same thing on github for linux. use protonVpn with microsoft365 & others apps is really awfull.

This is really needed ans also provided by other vpns so it should be not a problem for Proton. As other user mentioned it is very complicated to get domains IP(s) and add them here separately

This would be super, extremely helpful. I would like to whitelist my own website, and a few specific websites, but since they're not my sites, I don't know their IPs. Please consider allowing websites in addition to IP to be excluded.

Just like JG said, I'm a member of a forum, and I have to keep doing cloudflare human validations every few pages with the VPN active, and I trust them enough to exclude them via split tunneling.

I agree that this would be helpful. IP adresses can change. There would still be a DNS call, which couldn't be helped, but for sites which aren't mission critical, excluding by domain would be sufficient. For example, my local credit union sometimes blocks access if it detects I'm connecting via VPN. Adding an exclusion by domain would be easier than adding by IP address.
