Split tunnelling would be more useful if it could use URLs and not just IP addresses.
E.g., paramountplus.com has dozens of IP addresses. Manually finding and trying to maintain all of them (even if the platform could handle that many) would be a nightmare. So it's not very useful as it is, with just IP addresses.

Option for Gig speed support. Premium is ok
There is a fast-developing trend in US for consumers easily accessing prosumer class high speed fiber for reasonable prices. 5-10 Gb. Mac mini supports 10GbE. USB-C supports 10Gb. Thunderbolt 5 available on Mac... It would be valuable if some of these bandwidth levels weren't bottlenecked at the VPN. My best case seems to be from 10GbE shunted down to ~750 MbE if using ProtonVPN... So the choice is speed OR security? Prosumers are not very price sensitive...

Sort the list of countries by proximity
This would be really useful for those of us who download via Torrent, every time I want to download via Torrent I have to manually search for the country closest to my country to get the fastest download speed. Which makes me have to scroll down quite a lot, when you do it so many times it ends up being very tiring and that's why I would like the country closest to mine to be at the top of the list.

Xray-core(dpi bypass protocol, in authoritarian countries)
We suggest considering Xray-core as an alternative to current VPN protocols. Due to the expanding list of countries using internet censorship. Xray, as a successor to V2Ray, promises significant improvements: higher performance due to an optimized core, support for modern protocols (VLESS, Trojan) and advanced traffic obfuscation (XTLS), which is critical for bypassing DPI and ensuring reliable access.

Forward More Than One port
Currently with dynamic forwarding a single port can be forwarded for P2P connections. Sometimes more than a single port is necessary (an obfuscated port). It would be helpful if we had the ability to forward multiple ports within the GUI rather than searching for third-party solutions.

On the "Create Profile" page, add CITY names alongside each SERVER name that is listed on the server dropdown menu.
Request: On the "Create Profile" page, add CITY names alongside each SERVER name that is listed on the server dropdown menu.
On the "Create Profile" page, the dropdown menu for selecting the server recites each server name. But the dropdown menu for selecting the server does NOT recite the CITY in which the city resides. Knowing in which CITY a particular server resides would be helpful when selecting a server for creating a profile.
I'll note that the CITY name information for each server is available on the the "Countries" tab. So adding the CITY name information alongside each SERVER…

Have a clear indicator on main GUI screen and system tray mini window when Split-Tunnel is activated.
I have forgotten I had split tunnel enabled just for my alternate browser to test something and then forgot. I went to a cafe and used their wifi and put my VPN on, thinking I was protected. I was not. All my traffic was unprotected because I had forgotten a day or two ago I had set split tunnel on.
Please add this very very simple UX / GUI feature just to indicate that Split-Tunnel is enabled, in a way you can't not notice. Not requesting a new feature, just a change in the display so you definitely know split…

Better profile rules to address privacy, censorship and performance
Many US states are larger than the largest countries in other regions, and privacy/censorship laws can vary significantly from one state to the other. I would like to be able to mark/unmark which states will be included in my Random and Fastest profiles to exclude states with undesired privacy/censorship laws.
Related to the above, I'd like to be able to create a profile to select a random or fastest server from the states that have the best privacy laws.
Finally, server load is not necessarily a reflection of the fastest server to select within a state or country. Latency between…

Patch memory corruption bugs on Android VPN app
On April 24th, 2024 it was reported to Proton Support that the Proton VPN app for Android has memory corruption issues and the relevant debug logs were included (request 2830533); the conclusion was that the report would be forwarded to the engineers. This was caught with GrapheneOS' memory tagging extension (MTE) feature which shuts down apps upon detection of memory errors. It's been over six months since the initial report and the Android Proton VPN app still crashes almost instantly if MTE is enabled. Since memory errors pose a security risk, please patch this as soon as possible.

ProtonVPN - Improvements to profile
As there are now 100 countries added, there are countries with local laws that are considered draconian, and the Windows client doesn't support this feature.
We should have extended option to our custom profiles to pick by state. Right now it's just specific individual servers which isn't fair.
I keep thinking of looking for another provider until ProtonVPN corrects this.
For example, states are implementing **** age restrictions mandating IQ laws. They're also trying to add bans on Tiktok and other social media. So I believe we should be able to just pick states that don't have this than just…

Further Profile Customization - Select Sever by State/Province and City
Hey all, after using Proton VPN for years, I love the features and options. However, one option I'm finding I wish I had was further server profile customization.
For instance, if I make a profile for the fastest server in the USA, I cannot select by State. However, when using family streaming accounts on a VPN, I find selecting a local State/Province helps with speed and accessibility. If my family is in Texas and doesn't normally use a VPN, but I log in to the account while connected to a Chicago VPN server, I find the streaming app doesn't work…

On the "Create Profile" page, automatically suggest a profile name, the suggested name including the SERVER name and CITY
Request: On the "Create Profile" page, automatically suggest a profile name, the suggested name including the SERVER name and the CITY in which the server resides.
For example, if I were to select server US-IL#200 from the dropdown menu for selecting the server, something like "US-IL#200 (Chicago)" would be automatically added to the name field as a suggested name. Similarly, if I were to create a profile selecting the fastest server in the US, the suggested name could be something like "United States (fastest)" or similar. Including the protocol in the suggested name would also be good, but at least…

Business - Unlicensed user support
As an organization admin, I would like the ability to have unlicensed users that can administer and assign licenses, as well as users to exist without a license.
Currently every user must have a license, and there is no way to unassign a license without having to remove the user from the organization.

Android: Split-Tunneling with Subnets
The Android app lacks the subnet option for split-tunneling. The Windows app has it.
I have multiple devices on a LAN that I need to access. It's a pain to have to enter each, individually. And it requires updating when I add or change a device. This should work on Android just like it does on Windows.

Ability to customize Split Tuneling in profile settings.
It would be nice to be able to customize profiles and select in each profile which specific applications in a given profile should pass through the VPN network.

Add support of the <auth-user-pass></auth-user-pass> tags for OpenVPN protocol
Right now Proton supports only separate input of username and password. Some routers (Keenetic City) does not allow entering username and pasword separately. However the OpenVPN supports having username and password in a configuration file according to the - https://github.com/OpenVPN/openvpn/blob/v2.6.10/Changes.rst
It would be great if you could support inline auth.2 votes
