allow ports to be mapped for longer then 60 sec at a time
currently Proton only allows mapping a port for 60 sec at a time when manually port forwarding us NAT-PMP. Allow users to map for 3600 secounds (1 hour) as is typically allowed when using NAT-PMP functions.

Split tunneling file selection dialog used to remember the last folder you selected, now it defaults to documents
This is very useful and was included in the previous version, now we have to constantly navigate to appdata for re-adding discord since every discord update comes with a new folder and executable

On the "Create Profile" page, automatically suggest a profile name, the suggested name including the SERVER name and CITY
Request: On the "Create Profile" page, automatically suggest a profile name, the suggested name including the SERVER name and the CITY in which the server resides.
For example, if I were to select server US-IL#200 from the dropdown menu for selecting the server, something like "US-IL#200 (Chicago)" would be automatically added to the name field as a suggested name. Similarly, if I were to create a profile selecting the fastest server in the US, the suggested name could be something like "United States (fastest)" or similar. Including the protocol in the suggested name would also be good, but at least…

Business - Unlicensed user support
As an organization admin, I would like the ability to have unlicensed users that can administer and assign licenses, as well as users to exist without a license.
Currently every user must have a license, and there is no way to unassign a license without having to remove the user from the organization.

Add support of the <auth-user-pass></auth-user-pass> tags for OpenVPN protocol
Right now Proton supports only separate input of username and password. Some routers (Keenetic City) does not allow entering username and pasword separately. However the OpenVPN supports having username and password in a configuration file according to the - https://github.com/OpenVPN/openvpn/blob/v2.6.10/Changes.rst
It would be great if you could support inline auth.4 votes -

Filter needed when looking for a openvpn file to download on the webside
I usually need to download the Openvpn file for servers from the Proton VPN website. I live in the US and they have A LOT of servers. It is so time consuming just scrolling up and down through every country in the world to find a server with low utilization for a city I want.

Profiles: Allow selecting multiple servers
It would be nice to change profiles to add a checkbox beside the servers in the list so we can select multiple servers to put in the profile and leave out others.
Ex. I would like only Toronto Ontario servers nothing else in one profile.
Thanks

Porn/adult sites blocker for NetShield
Warp (CloudFlare) has a feature for their equivalent of NetShield that also blocks porn/adult sites from the DNS, in addition to options for malware and ads. Consider adding this for a family-friendly setting?

Kill-Switch with Split-Tunneling for Mac
Apparently ProtonVPN has implemented this feature in Windows:
Proton removes restrictions on simultaneous feature usage on Windows
- Users can now use Split Tunneling, Kill Switch, and NetShield altogether
- Split tunneling is currently in beta for Mac and Linux usersIf you’ve been using Proton VPN on Windows, you’ve likely encountered a frustrating "pick two" scenario. For a long time, the app forced users to make a compromise: if you wanted to use split tunneling to route specific apps outside the VPN, you often had to disable other critical security features.
According to an X post by the company,…

Improve region selection for high-population nations
The current region selection system for Proton VPN really only works well for low- and mid-population nations, and is highly problematic for many regions of high-population nations. As an example, I can choose the UK, and then select from a list of the six cities in which you provide local presence. This is great. If I want to pop out in London, as opposed to Cardiff, I can. However, in California, U.S., this doesn’t work. Your system cannot iterate down further than one step (nation > city), where there are many places where you might want to go two steps (nation >…

Extend NetShield content blocking options
I wish NetShield had more fine-tuned content blocking options beyond malware and ads/trackers. Mullvad can also block the following:
- Gambling
- Adult content
- Social mediaPlease add these options to NetShield so I don't have to trust a third party custom DNS (and risk being fingerprinted for it). Proton might treat this as low priority, but it's important to me. This and DAITA are some of Mullvad's distinctive features, so I'd appreciate if Proton had them too.

Port C/C++ code to Rust
Mullvad VPN moved from Wireguard-go to GotaTun for improved Wireguard performance and security. Please consider doing the same for Proton. After all, Mullvad has already done most of the work.
In a rapidly-changing security landscape (e.g. Claude Mythos), memory-safe code is more crucial than ever – especially for something as important and system-wide as a VPN.

Split-Tunneling
Someone please explain why ProtonVPN cannot have the Kill-Switch and Split-Tunneling both activated at the same time. There are lots of times I have to disconnect ProtonVPN to access some Internet sites. Not having a Kill-Switch and disconnecting the VPN defeats the purpose of a VPN; a Kill-Switch is a must. Other VPN allow both the Kill-Switch and Split-Tunneling to be activated at the same time; why can't ProtonVPN do the same. Hopefully a Proton Team Member will explain.
