  1. Password Protect Proton VPN to lock settings & block ability to exit or disconnect

Proton VPN could really use ability to lock the settings & block ability to exit or disconnect.

It needs this to prevent kids from making changes or other users from making changes, exiting, or disconnecting.
Somewhat similar to what is used with Proton Pass Security but need to also prevent the ability to exit or disconnect, or to switch servers.

  2. Sign in automatically when opening browser, connect automatically

In Firefox I have to sign in every time I open the browser, then hit the connect button. I would also like to be able to set a default vpn to connect to, and have favorite servers listed at the top so I don't have to search. Also would like to stop those pop up windows that show up on every tab until I cancel them asking for credentials.

Critical for who wants to use a secured custom DNS. Even more critical for ones using services like NextDNS, AdGuard DNS or Control D

  5. Ubuntu Touch App

Presently in the mobile operating system of Ubuntu Touch it is a cumbersome manual process to get a VPN working. Given that such users are a privacy focused bunch, and with Volla and Fairphone offering Ubuntu Touch as a pre-installed operating system option, it might be worthwhile for Proton to make an Ubuntu Touch port of the ProtonVPN app. Shouldn't take too much change to an existing Ubuntu compatible app, and would certainly garner new Proton subscriptions as the only easily set up VPN for the OS.

  6. Add the option to disable the connected taskbar icon overlay

I have a very minimal taskbar with custom icons for everything, and this doesn't fit the theme. I'm sure there's others that have a similar problem and would like to be able to turn off the icon overlay for when connected. I think the option to have only a disconnected overlay or both would be useful too. I'm always using the vpn so the normal state is the one alerting me with an icon and the abnormal one isn't.

  7. Add ad-blocker list option, like BlockAda/Ad-Away of Pi-Hole

As Blockada offer the ability to choose between many safe improve adblock or social tracking etc.

Add an option for enable and select pre-choose lists (and maybe, an advance option for add-it manually from filter list for example https://filterlists.com/)

  8. Unblocking every outbound port on protonvpn's https proxies (web browser addons)

Some websites use a port which is not 80. And, for some reason, those are blocked by ProtonVPN's HTTPS proxies used in their browser addons.
This is a request for unblocking it.

  9. Make an official package for arch linux instead of the AUR package

Why is there not an official arch linux package at this point? I think it would be awesome to just enter "sudo pacman -S protonvpn" in order to install it.

It's not like arch linux is an lesser known operating system.

  11. Add a toggle to your auto renew feature

Add a toggle auto-renew to your subscription plan. The lack of it gives a semi-predatory vibe that feels out of place in such a trusted and professional company. I understand this may cause losses but your product needs to be more than just a pretty UI. People get VPNs because they don't trust that everyone is continuously monitoring their data and you need to make your company reflect the trust that your customers are looking for.

    For your consideration,

  12. Server fallback

Not sure if technically possible but it would be nice to have an automatic server fallback in case the current server is down or slow, have the syste mswitch the connection to another server. I'm talking about router level VPN, of course this is not a problem with the app

  13. Allow searching country based on iso code

    BLURB
Let's face it - it's cumbersome to search for long country names (e.g. United States). It would be save a significant number of key strokes, to include in the country search list, the 2- or 3- digit ISO country code and show this country first in the results (e.g. US for United States, or CH for Switzerland), so one does not have to choose between all the countries containing "United" (USA, UK, UAE, etc)

    COST-BENEFIT TRADE-OFF
    - Need to update UI for all apps (Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, iOS (well I know it applies to Linux, so maybe some…

  15. Request for an App Exclusion Feature for Mobile VPN Access

Subject: Request for an App Exclusion Feature for Mobile VPN Access

    Dear ProtonVPN Customer Service Team,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Charles Bondzie, a loyal and satisfied user of your ProtonVPN service, particularly on my mobile device. I want to express my gratitude for the robust security, privacy, and flexibility your service consistently offers.

Despite the overall exceptional user experience, I find myself in need of a feature that currently seems to be absent in the mobile version of ProtonVPN. I am particularly interested in an "App Exclusion" or "Split Tunneling" feature that allows users…

  16. Ability to change default Wireguard port 51820

Hello, please add an option, to change the default 51820 Wireguard port, to any port of choice, this will help mask VPN connection and will help people who live in countries that block VPN traffic.

  17. Change Finland's flag in Proton VPN Android TV app

Finland's flag looks really strange in the Android TV app. The blue cross is really thin, and the colour is clearly off as well. You can find the correct dimension and colour at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Finland. Much appreciated.

  19. Geofence auto-connect

Being able to set the VPN to autoconnect when it goes to mobile data, certain wifi networks, or all except for certain wifi networks would be super helpful. For example, whenever I am not on my home Wi-Fi it would auto connect, no matter if it is mobile data or a public hotspot, etc.

  20. split tunneling for domain name

Current split tunneling allows IP address and application. The IP address is an unreliable way to open a bypass to an external website.

Please add the ability to split tunnel to a domain name. This would help with various sites that block VPN Server IP addresses.
