  2. Contextual menu on drive quick links

In the drive application, when right clicking a file there's a custom contextual menu, but not for the quick links on the left. For instance to empty the trashbin, you have to go into it, instead of just right clicking it in the left panel and choosing "Empty". When right-clicking those items, it's the browser contextual menu that appears.

  3. A different layout for each folder

I would love to see an option to set a different layout for each folder. For example, the grid layout is great for images, but the list layout is much more convenient for documents.

  4. wget / curl support for download links

The link that can be copied for a shared protondrive file cannot be downloaded by wget or curl.

Use-case: I have a file.tar.gpg that I want a URL for so that it can be downloaded elsewhere using curl or wget. This is possible from other drivers, sometimes by adding a request url parameter that gives the "immediate download link".

  5. Cancel all uploads

I accidentally duplicated a directory with many files and had to try to cancel and remove each file individually as they were being shuffled in the queue. Please add an option to cancel and remove all pending uploads.

  6. Option to have Words instead of Icons for Buttons in the Toolbars

It is irritating to have to learn a new visual language for every web application. Added to this, some icons are easily confused between each other. The trend of displaying menu / action buttons (e.g. 'Change Layout', 'Sort Files and Folders') with often-mysterious icons instead of words has been overwhelmingly deleterious for user experience, in my opinion. Especially for older users.

Added to this, it is quite unnecessary, given that a normal desktop screen, there is plenty of of unused horizontal space in the task bars, to be used for words instead of / in addition to icons.

    Thank you.

  7. Single click on a file triggers an instant preview : a bit annoying

Is it just me that finds it a bit annoying that a single click on a file triggers an instant preview?
Why not have the selection to only display the top bar for us to use the existing preview button? Keep the current Preview UI to preview the previous/next file once the preview is active.

  9. Suggestion Button and Direct Link to Proton Drive feedback page

Being a Beta Product, Proton Drive should have a clear 'Suggestion' button next to the 'Help' button, to encourage feedback.

Furthermore, on ProtonDrive the current 'Request a feature' button under the 'Help' menu links to the default Protonmail feedback page. Thus a user could easily make the mistake of providing their feedback meant for Proton Drive, but placing it under the ProtonMail category.

  11. Use unix 'file' to determine if uploaded file is in for example text format so it can be viewed in the web gui

Upload a Dockerfile, then try to view it. It is a plain text file, but it doesn't display, probably because some kind of file extension list is used for the previewing page rather than something like 'file' in Unix which can say if it is an image or a text file or a json file etc.
