Folder info (size, stats)
In details I'd like to see the number of files and folders inside a chosen folder and it's total size.
It'd be also cool to be able to see details for a number of selected folders combined, so I could check the info for a few folders placed next to each other.91 votes -
ProtonDrive 100GB for Plus users
We need at least 100GB. I don't want to use Onedrive or google drive because I really like Proton Drive, but 5GB is too small. Thanks

More storage options
Please offer an option to upgrade storage capacity without having to upgrade to the Visionary level. I would like more storage but I do not need additional users or addresses or domains.

ProtonDrive tools
Hello,
ProtonDrive is great news. However, are you developing tools to directly open and work with .docx and xlsx files such as Google Drive and its Google Sheets?Thank you in advance.

Alter documents in Drive without downloading, altering, and re-uploading/replacing
I would like to be able to interact with and alter/edit documents inside the drive. It is cumbersome to make a simple edit to a document by having to download, alter elsewhere, and then upload and delete the older version.

Expand files types that can be previewed
Specifically, I would like to preview Open Office files for text .odt and spreadsheets .ods. It is very helpful to view .pdf.
Thank you for all you do to preserve privacy.

Right-to-left (RTL) filenames
Currently, RTL filenames display weirdly - the name is jumbled up near the end, while the start is seemingly okay, or vice-versa.
Examining the HTML, it appears the extension split is done improperly, 2 characters before the dot, instead of at it. So the last few characters of a filename without the extension are actually added to the extension span element, which should remain LTR - but now causes everything to jumble up.

Bring Down The Cost of Storage
I really want to migrate much of my storage to Proton, and I'm willing to pay - just not the rates being used right now. I have 5TB plus MS 365 Package for $70USD per year, and 150GB with Drive for $20USD per year. Proton wants an additional $40 USD per year for 10GB - this is simply way too far outside of even the high end of the market rate for storage. I expect to pay a premium for a service like Proton - but not that kind of premium.

wget / curl support for download links
The link that can be copied for a shared protondrive file cannot be downloaded by wget or curl.
Use-case: I have a file.tar.gpg that I want a URL for so that it can be downloaded elsewhere using curl or wget. This is possible from other drivers, sometimes by adding a request url parameter that gives the "immediate download link".

Preview the shared files in the Proton Drive before
It would be great if you could preview and select before downloading!
[NOW]
Click the URL of the shared file or folder to start downloading automatically.
[Expectations]
For multiple shared files and photos stored in a folder.
It would be great if you could select and download it on the preview screen!

Folder update/merge options
I use ProtonDrive as a backup for important files on my PC. When updating my backups I chose directory upload, expecting it to either overwrite or ignore existing files, but instead it created a new "directory (1)" and started uploading all of the files again there.
It would be great to do one of more of the following when uploading a directory name that already exists:
Prompt me to rename the directory
Let me choose whether to replace, duplicate, or ignore conflicting file names
Automatically merge the directories and do one of the above on a file-by-file basis6 votes -
Increase the storage capacity to 5GB
Increasing the space to 5 GB... I think such a small change will help a lot to people who use the free plan or cannot afford to buy. Important files are more than 1 GB. If this idea is implemented, many people will be happy.

upload
As stated before Uploading to the folder is a MUST-have feature for Proton Mail.
But it could be easily implemented by adding an additional option to the existing filter rule -> upload to folder -> [if, and, or, contains] {"Key"}
- Easier/faster implemented.
- More secure than anonymous uploads or shared folder uploads.
- User doesn't need additional automation for simple tasks -> Increases efficiency -> saves time -> can be sold :)

Select folder for Proton Drive downloading
I want to be able to select the location when I download files from Proton Drive. I have limited space on my C: drive, but when I go to download, it defaults to my Downloads folder!

File/folder sharing with other ProtonDrive users, especially organization members (not generic link)!
File/folder sharing link is inconvenient.
I manage an organization (for family members) and file/folder sharing within org members accessible by everyone's respective account credentials (including pointers in everyone's ProtonDrive views) is essential. Link+Password sent by email is not a good solution for this very practically relevant use case for organizations.5 votes -
protondrive
Have a feature to SHARE a folder with a user instead of by FILE only. SInce you already have this by file, doing it for a directory should not be that difficult I would think. Please let me know if this can be done, so I can move off of my google notes.

File Update/Merge
When uploading a file that already exists on PDrive, ask user to overwrite file before uploading and creating duplicate file with (1) suffix.

App Mobile ProtonDrive and type of plan
Definitely creating a mobile app for ProtoDrive is the priority.
Then the thing to clarify is the cost of the plan.
Obviously, for a drive you need at least 50 GB of space and the 5 GB limitation for the mail plan makes no sense. At this point I would opt for a single plan that includes a little bit of everything.4 votes -
Option to always allow uploading many & heavy files without always clicking "OK"
I left the office and let the PC on to upload a folder with many files. Came 4 hours later to find out it hadn't uploaded any files at all due to the "It might affect your PC's performance; are you sure?" prompt. Every single time you have to confirm. If I had the "always allow" option, it wouldn't have happened.
When uploading a large folder, it takes Proton Drive a while to process or show anything. And only then does the "are you sure you want to upload many files" comes.
