shared folder notifications of file upload
It would be great if it was possible to have a customizable notification email sent to designated addresses when a file gets uploaded to a shared folder, both between proton users and external users.
The same for if people have a drop folder, that the owner user would receive a notification of that activity.
This is especially useful for business activity where for a time you may have to share files securely and in real time. For example: if you are in legal proceedings and need to supply documents to your lawyer on a regular basis, you can do so…

Use Proton Drive as primary storage, with the ability to save and edit files from software such as MS Office, Adobe, etc directly via the drive without using a local HDD

Optimize local storage with files on-demand option
Some cloud storage applications have options to optimize local storage space by allowing users to optionally enable files on-demand. In this usage, the full file is stored in Proton Drive cloud with a representative file stored locally. When a user attempts to open the locally stored representative file (say opening a JPEG), the full file is downloaded just in time.

iOS Select more than 10 files for upload
In iOS, only 10 files can be selected for upload. Please increase this limit

Make a shared folder link "visible" as a normal folder in my Proton Drive (Maybe in another color or in italics font or so)

Torrent support
Hello ,
Would it be possible to use my Proton Drive to download my .torrent files in order to download The associated file in there , not in my PC ?

Sync iPad OS file changes
Presently the Windows client of Proton Drive allows launch, change and save of files. That function is not active in the OS for the ipad, where any changes made to a file are not saved to the drive file. This means I can make, save and leave a file thinking its updated and when I return to it, the changes are missing.

Add ability to Copy, Paste, Better Sorts, Like, Rotate, etc
We need some basic features like CUT/COPY/PASTE. Would like to be able to sort using other metadata besides the upload/modified date - for photos, creation date is essential for sorting. What about tagging/liking/favoriting/♥️ photos? Not having the ability to scroll through photos and easily view the detailed metadata will be a dealbreaker at some point. Basic photo editing tools like at least ‘rotate’ would be great. It really needs some of these simple features to make it usable.

Mirror device
Create a single-click "Mirror Entire Device" button to enable backing up an exact copy of an entire device (phone, laptop, etc.) to Proton Drive.

Dedicated file / folder share option for Windows Explorer and Kubuntu Dolphin
Currently it looks like the only way to share a file or folder is through the web app and only when copying a file link. Can we have a dedicated file/folder share option as an integrated option in our native browsers - Explorer for Windows or Dolphin in Kubuntu?

Retain Proton Drive folder data on local disk, as selectable default
I would like the functionality for Proton Drive folder to retain copy of data on my local disk, and have this functionality be selectable as a default.
My preference is to utilize 3-2-1 backup strategy,
copy-1 located on laptop,
copy-2 located on nearby portable disk, and
copy-3 located offsite-remote (Proton Drive).Current default behavior of Proton Drive is to REMOVE copy-1 after creating copy-3.
Current process available is to MANUALLY perform “DOWNLOAD” from copy-3, although I prefer to have this process available as selectable default.1 vote -
Delete from desktop
Synced a folder that was too big, so it did not complete. No way to delete from desktop, so went to app to do it.

Asustor Support
Hi!
I have an Asustor NAS that can back up to off-site storage. While there are plenty of off-site solutions from Amazon, Google, etc., having it tied to an encrypted service like ProtonDrive would be great!

Customize duration between version history
Proton Drive stores a maximum of 200 versions of a file. If, for example, you save frequently when programming, you can quickly save 200 versions. For example, I would need a version of a file from 2 days ago. Unfortunately, the history only goes back to yesterday.
It would be good to save versions of a file at a time interval. For example, 5, 10, 15 etc. minutes between the modification time of a file. This would be a global setting for the version history.

Would love it if proton drive alows aif audio files preview. thats the main issue why i wouldn't switch from dropbox to proton

View files as text (regardless of file extension)
Sometimes I have files that do not end in .txt, but I know they are basically text files. Currently I can't see their contents at all on my mobile device. For example, Emacs org-mode notes (end in ".org"). It would be nice if there was an option in the "..." menu like "View as text".

Provide .msix package with appcontainer enabled
Appcontainer (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/msix/msix-container) makes app sandbox possible on Windows. Pls use .msix with it rather than traditional win32 apps.

Add scroll bar in photos view
Would be great to have a scroll bar in Proton Photos. I have lots of pictures and have to swipe the screen 900 times to get to the pics at the bottom of the list. With a scroll bar, I could "swipe" the screen once and get to the bottom.
