Proton Docs / collaboration suite
(folders and docs similar to GoogleDocs)
Proton mail needs some collaborative word processor and spreadsheet in a drive where people can securely work on it but only the person who owns the files can keep them and no one can download them or copy them.
Proton now has Docs:
https://proton.me/drive/docs
And Sheets:

I keep track of my finances on google sheets and use google docs to write/edit papers and now I want to keep track of my tutoring clients. I would like to move all this off of google because I don't trust them with my information. wondering if you could offer a comparable product

I'm not currently a paying customer. I think having a mobile app is pretty essential though. Until that happens I can't seriously consider upgrading.

Currently when a doc file is uploaded to ProtonDrive, we cannot even view its contents. This feature is only supported for PDF files. It would be convenient if we can view and edit document contents in ProtonDrive. This would eliminate the need of a online notepad with security level of ProtonMail.

I would like the ability to sync files across multiple end points.
Also, while I'm here, a feature I would like to see in Proton Calendar is the ability to mask appointments. So others can see what free time slots I have, but not whom my appointments are with.

It would be great if we can also use Synology Cloundsync and Hyper Backup

Automatic synchronization with PC/Mac and iPhone/Android (similar to OneDrive) is essential for regular ProtonDrive use. One should be able to open and work with files (and directories) without extracting and saving back. It should be a "Drive" not a "Safe".

As has been noted, add a text editor, but include markdown support.

I agree with others. Needs at the very least 20GB of storage for the cost. I'm not saying to give as much as Google but it needs to be close. Free accounts need to be at least 5GB. Not 500Mb... I can't even transfer over my personal email because 500MB is way too low. I have at least 2.5GB of emails/pictures.

Even the simplest alternative to Google Docs would be great, like being able to edit text and add bold, italic, underline.

Considering a collaboration suite, as the economic trend towards online applications rather than software or brick and mortar applications, Protonmail would be wise to prioritize a collaboration suite before other email providers corner the market by providing such niche features, which will in turn, make the email provider, who does provide those features, to be the most popular. Protonmail, or the email provider who provides these features, would be sure to learn from google's mistakes in assuming that all user's have the same electronic devices to access the web and thus, security measures to be implemented around the assumed electronic devices that all users have, which is not the case. It would be quite disappointment if Protonmail does not prioritize this thread, and other email providers see this opportunity to be successful in the new market that we currently see with the economic trend that we are heading towards to.

- Needs significantly more storage for the price
- Flexible but concise searching of files
- file tagging
- image and video thumbnail views when in grid mode -

Graphic file names: They are apparently converted from the actual file name to a hexadecimal string. All other files I have tried appear to retain their original file name.
