More storage options
Please offer an option to upgrade storage capacity without having to upgrade to the Visionary level. I would like more storage but I do not need additional users or addresses or domains.

I really don't need Duo, I just need the option to upgrade to 1 TB.

Have 500 GB but would pay to have option to upgrade for more storage without having to pay for other benefits which I do not need or will use.
Hope they offer tiers of storage independently from other benefit plans.

I would have thought 3TB would be sufficient, but I have recently had to back off on what I put in Proton to accommodate the limit. I would like to increase storage, paying more of course, but there is no option beyond 3TB.

I would totally pay more for a 1Tb plan or even buy a set of discreet 1Tb plans. If you're not wiling to accommodate, I think I'll simply build my own NAS instead.

I currently have the Unlimited plan with 500GB of storage on Proton Drive. It would be fantastic if there were options to add independent storage tiers (e.g., 100GB, 200GB, 300GB) as upgrades. These additional storage bundles could stack on top of existing subscriptions—like Unlimited, Duo, or Family—allowing users to customize their total storage capacity without having to switch plans. This would offer greater flexibility for users with evolving needs!

Agreed on this. Makes sense to allow more storage flexibility. The ability to reduce storage in plan options or add storage to a plan seems fundamental.
Note: not talking about per-GB level flexibility but maybe 100GB, 500GB or 1TB tiers.

I just suggest that you add 100 Gb to your VPN Plus plan, or even 500 Gb (1 Gb is very little!) and include much more generous storage in your VPN Unlimited plan I used it for https://kamaikendra.app/

I thought about upgrading my current plan because of waho https://wahoapps.org/ to mail plus but the storage capacity is very low, it is 15 GB which is equal to a free Gmail account

Waiting for this 500 GB+ option for months, even years now, ... do they actually understand they lose a potential high number of clients being such obstinate with this? I really don't understand how hard it could be... moving away anyway.

I have Proton Pass Plus and would like to purchase additional storage for Drive (also to continue using attachments in Pass).
Unfortunately, at the moment you have to subscribe to the Unlimited plan, which includes Mail, VPN, and more.
For cost reasons, I can't and don't want to do that.
Wouldn't it be possible to purchase storage separately?

It's a showstopper. I need to switch to something else if I don't have the oppertunity to buy more space...

Please add this feature… I’d like 3tb but the family plan is overkill.

Dito, Proton unlimited and the user should be able to choose between 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, etc. With corresponding prices ofc.
Because 500GB is not enough (for me) but having to purchase Proton Duo seems unnecessary.

1. This reads like it’s ai generated.
2. Google profits off violating users privacy, with googles free services you are the product. With protons services you pay for the product. Proton cannot provide what Google can for free, since Proton is not profiting off of “Free” users while Google is. -

I too have been a Proton Unlimited subscriber for about five years and I think that 540GB of storage space on Proton Drive is a limitation. The demand from paying users to obtain customized "cuts" of storage spaces (for example 1 minimum batch of 540GB, 2 batches 1080GB, 3 batches 1620GB and so on) in exchange for a modest increase in the subscription fee, I think deserves attention. Furthermore, Proton should pay attention to adapting its offer to people like me who have no reason to pay more for a "Duo Plan" or a "Family Plan", when what they need is just a little more storage space on Proton Drive. In conclusion, here is the need to submit to the Proton team: would you consider the idea of increasing the minimum storage space of Proton Drive to 1080GB for free for Proton Unlimited subscribers, making available "lots" of additional capacity at competitive prices? I remain at the Proton team's disposal for any further information and/or clarification on the matter. Thanks in advance for your attention. Best regards.

They aren't nearly as large as google but their products are so much more superior. Googles VPN is not very good and leaks frequently. Also now it can only be used on a phone.

I'm a Proton Unlimited subscriber, but was a bit surprised when I saw only 500GB of Proton Drive storage included given that there are plenty of other options for secure cloud storage. As much as I have no issue paying a bit more for Proton's services, I also understand that no organization is immune from compromise (see zero-knowledge cloud storage provider "SpiderOak" and their breach earlier this year), not to mention that Proton still has competition in the market despite others believing they are the end-all-be-all for secure services and storage. While Proton is definitely worth paying a bit more money vs. other providers given their consistent updates/product development/overall noticeable dedication to creating the world's best, most secure services (just my opinion), I still don't feel that 500GB of Proton Drive storage space is acceptable for individuals who are paying a premium for the services. Additionally, for individuals such as myself, I have no reason or inclination to pay more for a Family Plan, Visionary Plan, etc. when all ‘m seeking is additional Proton Drive storage space. I do not require access or storage for additional users, etc. considering I’m the one and only user who uses these services. @Proton, would you ever consider increasing the minimum Proton Drive storage space to 1TB for Proton Unlimited Subscribers, while making additional capacity “add-ons” available at reasonable, competitive prices for Unlimited accounts/individual users? I'm happy to be a guinea pig for anything you'd like to beta test, and a huge “thank you” to the Proton team for all of the effort they continue to put forth into their products and services!
