Linux Client
Proton Drive really needs the ability to sync desktop files automatically. This post focuses on a Linux client for Proton Drive.

only thing stopping me from moving from dropbox is the lack of a linux client for proton drive

Unlimited user here.
Am in the process of moving away from all services provided by Apple/Microsoft which means running Linux as my OS.
Not having a Proton drive app for Linux is really hindering my work processes.
It's the only thing stopping me from fully committing to the entire Proton suite of services.
Please can this be prioritized? -

Please... unlimited user here. I would use proton drive if they had this. I'm stuck using mega because they actually have a drive sync app.

I desperately need this! This is the only reason why I still use Dropbox.

This absolutely needs to happen. What's the point of keeping my files private if I'm forced to use one of the two operating systems that are just going to scrape my data from the system anyways?

It's inconceivable for me that this hasn't happened yet. This stops me from using Proton Drive to sync notes in Obsidian, or PDFs in Zotero.

I have a business account, and I do my business mainly using linux. I am forced because of some engineering applications to use also windows (which sucks), but it would be helping a lot improving the workflow if Proton would consider integrating the drive especially to linux also.

A Proton Drive app for Linux is...
- one of the few things keeping me on Windows 10 for my main workspace
- a comparative advantage vis a vis other cloud storage services that don't support Linux, which would be a great business decision!
- just necessary, guys, seriously.
Thanks! -

I don't know what they are waiting for to do it

The Proton suite has made huge strides lately, but I feel that LInux clients should be priority number one

Because of the good support of maibridge proton mail client, browser plugins that work great under linux for proton pass etc it is very much interesting to get a great client like for dropbox under Linux.
Google neither has a good client for Linux which makes this so much easier to migrate to someone who does. Please make it happen.

This feature have almost 5600 votes and still not on the proton team agenda ???? How is it possible ??? Seems critical for many of us !

I'm upgrading to "critical" now that I'm a paying customer. Nothing would streamline moving files between NTFS and EXT4 more than this!

This is probably the only proton app that actually needs an app instead of using the web. I cannot manually sync files. We need an app like MEGA has for Fedora/Ubunttu. Without it proton drive is basically useless. I am currently using a free account until a drive for linux comes out. Only then I can consider subscribing

All Proton products need to work with Linux by default.
