I think it is very unfortunate that the opening feature request is worded so poorly. Only after reading the comments I was able to figure out that this is referring to having multiple addresses on your account and not Hide-my-email-aliases.

It does make sense to limit the amount of addresses one can have with the official proton domains, however I think that it is crucial to be able to have an unlimited amount of addresses on your own custom domain.

I would especially welcome an official repository to facilitate installing, updating and verifying proton software. Most normal users don't really know what to do with checksums and signatures and why would they when they have a package manager that does all this for them

This is a critical feature for me. The lack of it makes my credentials in some scenarios nearly unmanagable. Hard to believe that nothing happened on this issue for more than half a year now.

I don't like the thought of this as it would require a "trusted" middleman to hold onto the encryption key. I think you would be better off using something like Shamir's secret sharing algorithm (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shamir%27s_secret_sharing) to distribute your key among trusted peers. This way you can "ensure" that they won't use their parts of the key until the case in which they are supposed to arises.
