Password protect specific folders if sharing account.
It would be nice to have the possibility to assign a password to a specific folder. It's a good solution if you e.g. use your Proton Drive with other family members/friends what so ever.

Akin to sharing a folder with a password with another user, allow the primary proton drive user to selectively add a PIN or Passcode to their folders (or subfolders) such that another layer of authentication is required to open them and access their contents.
Contents of folders with this additional security are exempt from drive search features.
Secured folders once unlocked are locked based on a configurable timer (set in minutes or based on the drive users login session).
This feature applies regardless of whether the folders are shared or not.

This could be a solution to case where someone gains access to one of my devices and then has access to all of my Proton Drive files.

Yes I know it is encrypted but because the drive is automatically logged in my pc, it would be more secure if there is another step for very sensitive files that is behind another pin or password like the OneDrive personal vault.

I use protondrive app on my phone to backup photos and simple documents, but my household administration is also in this drive.
It's fragile that anyone who knows the pass of my phone can get there.
Would be nice if you can make a folder within the drive with an extra lock and than preferably not a code but a password with letters, symbols etc.Would be nice if:
--> 1. Protondrive does open with a different code than my code for unlocking the phone and
--> 2. if there could be a lock/password on seperate folder(s) or a section within the drive for the very vulnerable files that you don't want to open by phone.

I had someone access my Drive through an active session I was not present for, and I think it would be a very valuable tool to be able to protect individual files

I see just as much value for this feature even if one is not sharing their account with anyone.
Being able to control which files are decrypted on your device would be an excellent security feature. I would love to be able to keep most of my files easily accessible on my desktop while having the option to keep sensitive files encrypted until I need them. There are a number of tools to accomplish this (Cryptomator, Veracrypt, etc.), but it would be fantastic if Proton handled this natively.
I think OneDrive's personal vault would be the perfect target to imitate.

A few options related to this I'd like to see in addition to this is a pin to unlock the web tab, similar to the pin to unlock ProtonPass after a set time. Also, there should be an option for hidden folders, just like on Linux/Windows/iOS. An additional reasoning for all of these options is as a secondary security feature for users logged into Proton on a shared or work computer.

Something like the Personal Vault in Onedrive, right? I hope this gets added.

It will be nice to be able to add another password for some folders as an extra layer of security if one wishes
