If this happens, it should be in conjunction with allowing shared folders to be seen in desktop apps. Ludicrous this basic functionality still doesn't exist.

Please make this a high priortity. I need a vault that can hold especially important info that requires another password. My Netflix password and my bank password require different levels of security. Last Pass and Bitwarden recognize this, and proton pass needs to as well. The current feature that allows you to require a second password is not sufficient as it puts all my passwords on the same security level, making it cumbersome to use for low value passwords like reddit, netflix, etc. that have minimal consequences from exposure.

Please implement this. This is very needed to fully be able to switch to proton. You need to be able to have the drive synced with the computer but still having some folders with more privacy than others. Specific passwords for specific folders needs to be supported!!

Recently moved from OneDrive to Proton and amazed this basic feature is not present. Basically if I forget to lock screen when I take a break, my whole drive is wide open for any family member at home or colleague at work.
The most sensitive info should be in a private drive that requires reauthentication.

Matters most to me on laptop but should come to mobile too.

Ability to lock folder (or folders) to prevent unwanted access in case of PC open and other family members use it or in case of PC hacked, files would not be available for locked folders. The only reason I still use OneDrive, not saying their solution is the best, but it does the job.

This feature will add more privacy to sensitive information. I.E medical records

I'd like to be able to lock folders behind passwords, and prevent the files inside said folders to appear in the search feature, but they would appear if the folder is unlocked.
That would be extremely useful for family usage of Drive, as sensitive data is safe from other family members.

I believe that there are many justifications for this feature now. Hopefully, Proton can begin working on this soon?

I would love to see this. This should be similar to how Microsoft does it with OneDrive Personal Vault. When you go to access your vault it prompts for re-authentication...in the case of OneDrive, it just askes for your MFA code.

need this. both windows and mac. on ios for example, the app can already be set to require a faceid or pin. it should be the same on windows or mac.

i'd do cryptomator. it's redundant. but I can't open a cryptomator volume stored on proton drive on ios.

Random, not having a PIN aid a security risk. Also this feature already exists (Menu > Settings > App PIN)

request: add PIN to access protondrive on phone that is separate from the phone PIN.
use case: i do not have a lock on my phone. if i loose my phone i don't want anyone to access my protondrive.

While I know you can set up a pin/password for proton pass already, I wish there was a way to add an extra layer of security for vaults that have personally info. Plus since you can view all vaults, if this is added then the locked vault will only show up if you put in the password of pin.

The security requirements for accounts in vaults differ. Those used for daily tasks should be easy to use. Those used for administrative tasks with high privileges require increased protection but are used less frequently. These accounts should have additional security measures, such as an extra password or security key.
