Collaborative folders
File/folder sharing link is inconvenient.
I manage an organization (for family members) and file/folder sharing within org members accessible by everyone's respective account credentials (including pointers in everyone's ProtonDrive views) is essential. Link+Password sent by email is not a good solution for this very practically relevant use case for organizations.
Collaborative folder sharing is now available: https://proton.me/blog/enhanced-sharing-drive

Dear admin, please remove the "completed" tag from this feature request.
People are clearly requiring "collaborative folders" and not only links to share. Collaborative folders mean that 2 users can have a synced directory on their laptop that would automatically sync the contents both ways.
Right now, the second user can only see the files in the "Shared with Me" section of the web app (which is of limited use only). He cannot use the Proton Drive desktop app to share documents in a truly collaborative manner.

I still can't access folders shared with me from the desktop / Android apps, right? Wouldn't call this feature completed until that is possible. I can't always up- and download documents etc.

As admin for a buissness using proton - this feature, to have truly shared/collaborative folders is a must!

Please add this feature. Started moving my data from Google Drive to Proton Drive and then realized that sharing data across Proton Family and Proton Users in general is not possible using collaborative folders. I hope you can prioritize this feature. It is a much needed piece of the puzzle for people to abandon Google Drive for good.

Great work Proton! I'm on ProtonMail (paid) since 2019 and I love the evolution of Proton and it's new feature and applications.
I'm about to cancel my subscription at a concurrent of yours, that has this feature as standard and works great. Unfortunately their service includes only a secure Drive with some additional features we don't need.
With Proton Family instead, we will have, secure e-mail, secure password manager, secure Files management and VPN on top of that! That's great! But this ProtonDrive feature is essential, as we need to have one Folder for the Family stuff, while each user has it's own private Drive Folder.
I'll subscribe to a Family Plan at Proton for the whole Family once this feature is available as standard in Proton Family plan.

This should be an essential feature. I’m needing to share files with my partner, also a Proton user, but they can’ t view shared folders or files in their own drive app. Doesn’t make any sense

This feature is essential!
As a user, I want to be able to share a folder with other people (family or friends in my case).
Currently, sharing by a link is not practical at all and my wife and I will have to stay with GoogleDrive for sharing very important files...
Folder sharing minimal requirements:
- be able to see shared folders with me
- authorize by user: only other Proton users defined can access the defined folders
- authorization modes: readonly, read/write
Folder sharing enhancements:
- authorize by link (ok)
- authorization modes: readonly, read/write, read/write+add other users -

A shared link that can be passed around is not nearly as secure as sharing with an individual proton user. Allowing us to share files folders or the whole drive with other users (preferably Proton users) will greatly enhance the utility for families and organizations.

I actually cancelled my 24month subscription because of this. Without being able to have a shared folder that is constantly synced between multiple users this is not working for me.
I don't understand how any business can work without synced shared folders???

This is essential for my workflow. Now that photo backup is out for Android, this feature is the only one needed to fully commit to Proton Drive.
