Very eager for this to happen please! :)
Replaced my old Android with an iPhone today after getting increasingly frustrated with Google's ecosystem, and already really missing Photo Sync.

I really need this feature. It's the only thing stopping me from buying a full license for all Proton products. Please implement it somehow, even if I have to keep the app open all the time for synchronization.
This is the feature missing for a perfect ecosystem!
Special thanks for everything you do! -

Absolute must. Would love to see a planned deadline for this feature.

I had the same request - here is my comment:
When syncing photos with Proton Drive on iOS with the photos feature, the app must stay open in order to upload assets.
When the app is in the background, the backup process stops after a few seconds.
I know that there are iOS limitations for background tasks, but it would be valuable if you could find ways to make background uploads possible.
As a reference - a self hosted photos application called "Immich" released that feature earlyer this year for iOS (which I use and works great).
Maybe this can be implemented in Proton Drive - here's the code for iOS on GitHub:

Thank you!
