Proton Docs Improvements
The ability to have a non-pageless design, a ruler, line spacing so it can be used for academic papers (think double space, 1.15, 1.5, etc...), ability to open PDFs in Proton Docs, word count, and the paint format feature. Also, please add the ability for the mobile versions of Proton Drive to edit Proton Docs in the app or a separate Proton Doc app. I love Proton Docs though it's amazing and the UI is beautiful.

It would be nice to have an Outline function as well for both journalling and academic papers.

It would be nice to have 'Topics' on the side, like in google docs, when you fomat the phrase or word with title or heading. Obrigado

Renaming the doc from the original "Untitled document - date": plz by default select the whole name to be easily wiped out. (when we rename a document, in general, we rebuild the name from scratch)

Being able to merge table cells together is a vital feature for me in my work flow. In the same vein, a pageless design is wonderful for working online, but for printing documents a paged view would be really helpful.

Adding Table of Content (named Outline in Google Docs or Navigation pane in MS Word) is a must have to me.

Please make it as academic as possible, if an academic can use it, it means its ready for any lay man.
1.Referencing
2.Word Count
3. ODT
4. Compatibility with Docx I tried converting ODT to Word, then open it with Docs, but it does not keep the formatting, it even delets certain sentences like tittles or if the first sentence of the text is in bold it gets rid of it.Literally just make a google docs, I am amazed at how quick and seamless it is, it works way better than o365 which is always lagging and unusable to collaborate or comment on other´s papers.

Hello,
Thank you for the current version. In addition to the list of improvements already given, I think these items could be top too:
- change page size and format (portrait / landscape)
- a zoom to reduce or increase the overall view of the document too -

I need to send my invoices in PDF format. Until this is available in Proton Docs, I can't use it. Google Docs it is.

Three important things that are needed:
1. Docs editing on Android mobile (and the ability to quickly toggle between accounts)
2. Spreadsheets
3. Link previews in Docs (with the featured image)
4. Toggle lists, etc (more list options) -

Great work with Proton Docs! I really love it, it has most of the basic mandatory features!
Something I would like to be introduced is "continue numbering". When I have numbered list" and sometime later in the file I have that same list again, I would to be able to continue with numbers where I left off.

All that we want. Be careful : we don't know where write, there isn't page frame.
!!! No print function !!!
We can't page jump. Finally this first version is just a notepad. glade to have new version.

I love the Docs feature a lot right now. It's good for about 90% of my use cases.
+ 1 for the page setup options (Margin options, 1, 1.5 spaces, etc.) for use in papers. That is one use case that I cannot use Proton Docs for at the moment.I agree with another user about the ability to open .docx and .odt files too. Sometimes I get sent those files, 99% of the time .docx, and being able to view them in Proton Docs would be ideal too.

Addtionally, if I copy and paste links into the docs and have text highlighted it should automatically recoginze that I want to link the existing text to the link and not just paste the entire link into the doc. Same way as notion is doing it.

Two quick improvements:
1. Support the ability to directly export your doc as a pdf or odt
2. Support a view where I can see how many pages I am writing (default view in google docs)The second is important if you are page restricted for e.g. a motivational letter.
