Feedback Request: Enhanced PDF Export Feature for Proton Docs
Dear Proton Docs Team,
I am writing to provide feedback regarding the PDF export functionality within Proton Docs.
My feedback pertains specifically to the current PDF export method. It appears that the "Export to PDF" option currently relies on the browser's native "Print to PDF" feature. While this offers basic functionality, it introduces an unprofessional element into the exported documents: the inclusion of the document's URL in the footer of every page.
This behavior is particularly problematic when documents are intended for professional use, client presentations, or formal sharing. The presence of browser-generated headers and footers, especially the URL, detracts from the document's professional appearance and can be perceived as untidy or incomplete.
I would like to respectfully request an improvement in this area. It would be immensely beneficial if Proton Docs could implement a dedicated, native PDF export feature. Such a feature would ideally:
Generate clean, professional PDF documents without browser-specific headers, footers, or URLs.
Offer more control over the export layout, ensuring a consistent and polished appearance.
Allow for a seamless conversion of the document content directly into a PDF format, optimized for sharing and printing.
Implementing a native PDF export would greatly enhance the professionalism and usability of documents created in Proton Docs, making them truly ready for any formal context. This improvement would undoubtedly be highly valued by users who frequently need to share polished documents.
Thank you for considering this feedback. I look forward to seeing the continued evolution of Proton Docs.
Sincerely,
Adolfo
