Echoing what others have already said here: as a STEM student, this would be an incredibly helpful feature for my studies. Proton Docs is my preferred text editing platform, but I do need some way to properly format equations to do my work.

I write documents that are mostly equations, and this is the one thing keeping me in Google Docs. Proton was founded by CERN physicists, and its word processor still can't typeset physics, which feels like a hole in the brand. What I need: a formula block that takes LaTeX (or KaTeX), renders display and inline math properly, and stays editable as source, so pasting from Overleaf or Notion just works. Right now my equation-heavy, most sensitive work has to live with Google because Proton Docs has no math at all. LaTeX support would pull exactly the users who want to leave Google and currently can't.

I already like the simplicity of Proton docs over Google docs. For me to completely switch over, LaTeX support is a must.

It would be useful also if you ensure copying formula blocks from other websites(like notion) to Proton Docs works

I currently use Google Docs and OnlyOffice for my math homework, since they support LaTeX, I'd love to use Proton Docs instead!
