I write documents that are mostly equations, and this is the one thing keeping me in Google Docs. Proton was founded by CERN physicists, and its word processor still can't typeset physics, which feels like a hole in the brand. What I need: a formula block that takes LaTeX (or KaTeX), renders display and inline math properly, and stays editable as source, so pasting from Overleaf or Notion just works. Right now my equation-heavy, most sensitive work has to live with Google because Proton Docs has no math at all. LaTeX support would pull exactly the users who want to leave Google and currently can't.
