Proton Docs: Convert footnotes from docx to Docs files and show comments on download
I work in Ulysses (Markdown) and export to Word, store the docx files in Proton Drive and share with a collaborator, and we work together in Docs. While passages marked with the "::" code show as highlighted in docs, footnotes created in markdown, which show up in docx, do not show up in Docs files.
There seems to be no way to download a docs file in any format and have the comments made in the docs file show up in the downloaded file. If there is, please let me know. If not, please consider adding this feature. Thanks.
Please consider adding code to allow footnotes to transfer from docx to docs files. Thanks.

I think it's crucial to have the comments in the downloaded document as well. Especially when you're editing a document collaboratively and want to edit the comments in an offline version at the end to send it to external people.

You are correct that there is no way to download a docs file and have the comments made show up in the download - I emailed support about this very thing and they confirmed! Definitely upvoting this helpful feature.
