Currently, Proton Drive (Photos) allows users to back up their photos, including over mobile data, and specifically select where they are uploaded from. But, daily, many users take pictures or screenshots to send to friends and family only to delete them minutes later. Or, take multiple pictures of a single event just to pick out what they like the most and delete the rest. If users don't go into their photo backup regularly, it can be swamped with tons of pictures that users need to parse through and get rid of.

Would it be possible to allow users to select a timetable/schedule to upload their pictures and reduce clutter and constant maintenance?

Example:

Settings menu > Photo backup > Enable photo backup.
A grayed-out dropdown menu underneath is enabled with the following options:
- Automatic (default)
- Every 1 hour
- Every 24 hours
- Every 7 days
- Every 30 days
