Upload Photo Folders Directly as Albums
Allow users to upload an entire folder of photos directly into the Albums section so the folder is preserved as a single album. Currently, uploading a folder imports only the individual photos and removes the album structure, requiring each photo to be manually added back into an album. Preserving the folder-to-album structure during upload would significantly improve organization and save time.

With Samsung-OneDrive Gallery Sync, I had been syncing my photos to OneDrive basically as soon as they were taken, selectively based on folders, with each album becoming a folder on OneDrive (in a "Samsung Gallery" folder on OneDrive created automatically). For many years, this has been amazing! Until Microsoft & Samsung said this will be gone by November ;( I have yet to find an alternative to this feature from ANY provider, since most "agglomerate" all the photos in a single folder, infuriatingly renaming them and removing all folder structures (not even creating albums!).
Previously, I had OneDrive synced to my PC, I would then have a backup on my PC (routinely backed up elsewhere from there), and easy access to the latest photos almost immediately on my PC for use or sharing after taking them. If I lost the phone or it was stolen, I would be okay knowing the photos would almost certainly be backed up elsewhere.
I'd like to see Proton Drive improve the existing photo backup capability to replace this capability, since I notice has selective folder backup, to maintain that same folder structure (in files) to support this identical capability. Each folder should also be optionally added as an album (checkbox option).

This makes a lot of sense! Strange how this wasn't implemented to begin with.

Many of us have our photos sorted in local albums as folders on our devices, having the ability to upload a folder directly as/into an album would be a much needed feature.
This could be achieved also by allowing to share files from an folder directly into an album. (Compared to the current workflow of syncing images then manually selecting them to an album from there. On desktop/web you can do this by uploading files from your computer into an album; however this does not seem to be possible on mobile.)
