I was trying to work out whether the files in my Proton Drive folder were being backed up to my cloud-based Backblaze backup. Trying to find out where Proton Drive files are actually stored on Mac was a bit of a nightmare. I was unable to clearly see whether these files were included in my backup because they're effectively hidden deep within the user Library. This obfuscation means that I don't trust Proton Drive to hold my files because I can't easily locate and access them, which can be a critical task when setting up things like a cloud backup service.

I think Proton Drive should operate more like Dropbox / Google Drive, both of which make it far simpler to access the actual files, which fosters trust and peace of mind.
