Secure IoT Data Vault (EV, Smart Devices & Personal Data)
Please consider adding a secure IoT data vault in Proton Drive. Right now, data from EVs, smart home devices, and wearables is mostly locked inside manufacturer apps or stored on third-party servers, with very little real user control.
It would be extremely valuable to have a dedicated, end-to-end encrypted space to store things like EV battery reports, charging history, device logs, and ownership records.
This kind of data is becoming as sensitive as financial or health information, and users should be able to fully own and back it up privately.
Proton is in a perfect position to solve this—privacy shouldn’t stop at files and emails anymore.

Upvoted. People underestimate how valuable this kind of data will become over time, especially with EV battery degradation and device history. Right now, if you switch platforms or lose access to an app, a lot of that information is gone. Proton could solve a real long-term problem here.

Strongly support this. I use multiple smart devices at home and there’s no single place where I can securely keep all that data outside of big tech platforms. Extending Proton Drive to cover IoT data like this would make it far more useful as a true privacy hub, not just file storage.

Upvoted. This is exactly the kind of direction Proton should be moving in. I recently tried exporting data from my EV and realized how fragmented and dependent it is on the manufacturer’s ecosystem. Having a private, encrypted place to store long-term battery history and reports would be a huge step toward real data ownership.
